Guest Posting Do's And Don’ts
Why Would Anyone Want To Guest Post?
Are guest posters nuts? Blogs aren't fast to write, so why are people begging to post on someone's blog! What's in it for them? Guest blogging is a great way to enter and meet the popular community of bloggers. Guest posting pays in the form of gaining quality backlinks and traffic on your own blog. Contributing guest posts to some of the well-known blogs not only puts you in the spotlight, but also helps you learn how to interact with other bloggers through commenting and discussions. Here are some guest posting do's and don’ts to keep in mind before entering the guest posting world.
Do: Copy The Blog Owner's Brand
If the blog owner's brand is writing in a certain style, conversational tone, or with a particular slanted attitude, make sure your guest post is written that way too. It’s this type of content, style or tone that it's followers like. Research not only their niche, but the blog owner's attitude, style, and tone.
Don’t: Send The Same Generic Email To Every Blog Owner
Sending out the same generic email requesting a guest post. This is not going to increase your chances of receiving that all important ‘yes.’ This is because it shows the blog owner you’ve shown enough interest in researching their own blog before generating your email. They will feel that you’ve probably have sent the same generic email to hundreds of other blog owners. They are looking for guest bloggers that can offer fresh unique content and that starts right in the email.
Do: Make It Personal
Personalizing your email by doing your research first for each blog owner is a tedious job and time-consuming. However, just like other important tasks in SEO and online marketing, the more difficult something is to do, the more chances of success. Take some time to create the best blog you can write for guest posts and don’t hesitate to comment on the posts that you enjoyed reading.
Do: Use A Catchy Headline
Impress the blogger with your catchy headline. Make it clear, fresh, interesting and meaningful. For example: 10 Easy Online Marketing Tips To Consider.
Don’t: Take It For Granted That Your Blog Will Be Published
Remember that by permitting you to submit a guest post for their blog, the blogger is doing you the favor, not the other way round. Even if you feel you’ve created the most compelling content in the blogosphere. Stay humble and let them know that you would really be grateful if allowed to submit a guest post for their blog. If they publish your post, remember to be thankful.
Do: Approach The Blog Owner With Multiple Choices
Most blog owners want to test your skills before accepting a post. So, instead of sending over a completed blog, introduce yourself, ask what subjects they may want you to write on, and offer a few ideas. This shows the blogger that you’ve taken the time to research their niche, create new ideas and are flexible. This also lets reminds them that you are humble and they are in charge.
Don’t: Be Arrogant
It doesn't matter if you are the best writer in the world, you’ve no excuse for arrogance. Bragging about your talent and claiming that the blog owner should be pleased to publish your content is only going to make the blog owner reject your request. Keep in mind what you can do for the blog owner, not what he can do for you.
Do: Include Links In Your Author Bio
Instead of adding backlinks to the body of your guest post, think whether this link is really useful there or whether it would look better if the link is placed in your author bio at the end of the blog.

3 Efficient Content Marketing Tips
Have you tried using content marketing in your business?
You may be thinking, “Content marketing - never heard of that! What is it?” Content marketing is a way to communicate, offering value, and expanding your business brand with prospective clients without selling. The article you are reading right now is content marketing. Expensive paper mailers are joining other paper advertising of the past. It is now 2013 and trying to save advertising dollars by going online is where the action is. Content marketing can boost up your brand and your site’s online presence. Since the main objective of every business is to earn the best ROI, it is important that they reach out to the maximum number of people in the shortest time possible and content marketing can do that for both your business brand and site.
To learn the effective ways of doing content writing, you can go online and find numerous tips. However, it is a fact that there are more than just a few conventional strategies. This article aims at discussing three effective tips on content marketing.
Here are 3 effective tips for effective content marketing:
• Say NO To Hardcore Selling
• Content Must Be Of Superior Quality
• Studying And Monitoring of Analytics
Effective Content Marketing Tip #1 - Say "No" To Hardcore Selling
Content marketing is an all-comprehensive process. Sales people are sometimes annoying which makes buyers avoid hardcore selling. The excessive pushy attitude of the sales people, who are desperate to get their products or services sold to the potential buyers, becomes absolutely irritating. The approach of content marketing is different and instead of turning off clients you are attracting them.
The only mention of selling in the contents, (in case it is unavoidable) must be done only for the linked ads or soft/indirect selling. Those who try to convince people desperately, meet failure as people get infuriated.
Effective Content Marketing Tip #2 - Content Must Be Superior Quality
What brand is your company putting out in the online world? What is your target market seeing from you? Are you constantly putting fresh unique information out online? Your target online audience must be constantly given something new to notice. This is why it is important that you keep updating your articles, contents, videos, images, etc. with those of fresher higher quality. Contents, which are of low stale quality often, fail to reach out to the targeted audience on time and this is why their endeavor to gain fans online fails. Superior quality articles must be free of any kind of grammatical error and must contain unique quality information and practical suggestions.
It doesn't matter if the keywords are capable of driving huge traffic to a particular site. As a matter of fact, low quality articles written with high ranking keywords are of no use in generating traffic for a website.
Effective Content Marketing Tip #3 - Studying And Monitoring Of Analytics
Why is analytics an important part of content marketing? It helps article writers to understand what the market wants or the prospective buyers are looking for and create the articles accordingly. Also, this is way that writers get acquainted with the right keywords and use them in their articles.
Thus on a concluding note it can be said that content marketing is one of the most effective marketing efforts that can be used by online businesses. It helps efficiently in increasing the popularity of their business brand as well as the returns on their website.
Have you used content marketing for your business and have found positive results? If so, please share with our audience below.

How Long Does It Really Take To Rank?
Ever wished there was a button to push to get your website instantly ranked? Sorry, that is not how ranking works.
How long does it take to rank your business website? Let's imagine you have been working with an SEO or marketing company for two months but have not noticed any improvement in ranking. They guaranteed your website would be ranked #1 within the first 30 days for your keywords. You would be frustrated that you have not seen those outcomes! Yet when you complained, they explained that they added some meta tags and some backlink building. So you are left wondering when all these wonderful promises are going to help get your business website get ranked and what do terms like meta tags and backlinking mean? In this article we will talk about why SEO companies can't guarantee ranking results, why you can't just set up your site and leave, why SEO takes time, variables that influence ranking, and why marketing is an art.
Have You Looked At The SEO Packages And Wondered What They All Mean?
You need to understand what SEO conditions and terms mean; otherwise you may be spending money on a worthless marketing package. True SEO and improving your website takes time, and for valid reasons. Even with professional help and using the latest top-notch methods, it takes time to improve its ranking. There are companies who will guarantee faster outcomes, those who say they can get you to # 1, or that they can get your website a top ranking within a couple of weeks. The sad fact is, this is just not how it works. Beware and stay away from the companies that guarantee this!
Why Is SEO Similar To Working Out At The Gym?
Unless you are offering very unique products or services, or have very few competitors, it will indeed require some time and consistent effort. Great results take time, especially if you are a new business settings things up. Think of someone that is overweight and out of shape. Is going to the gym once or twice going to make them thin and fit? No, they have to do it often and keep doing it consistently. Unless they use a personal trainer who knows how the body works, it will take even longer to get fit and trim. SEO works the same way! If you stop your SEO routine, it is the same thing as if you stop eating right or working out. There will be no positive results! Also, if you first spend the time needed to self educate plus putting SEO into constant consistent use, it will take even longer! Sorry, but SEO results take time; need an educated strategy, and consistent effort.
Why Does SEO Take Time?
SEO takes time to improve and maintain your present ranking position. It all depends on many variables from thousands of aspects. If all the aspects which are known to effect higher ranking positions are favorably positioned, your web page ranking will go up in the search engines. It is all up to the current (ever changing) algorithms of search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and others. SEO is a long-term continuous technique; it is not a one-time enhanced activity and then abandoned. The search engines are constantly hungry and you have to update your website information constantly. It is just like feeding a baby; it will continue to get hungry again and again. If it doesn't get feed, it will die. The same rule of thumb goes with to ranking your website. Unless you continue to frequently update it with fresh unique content, your rankings will fall and then die.
Which Factors Count? 8 SEO Variable Factors:
SEO Factor #1 – What Is The Age Of Your Domain Name?
Is your website new? If so, how old are the top rated websites you will be competing against? If they are older then it is probably going to take at least a year to catch up, unless your competitors are bad at marketing and backlinking. Chances are they have spent precious effort and energy placing blogs and videos on their website trying to attempt to create fresh and unique content that will help them rank. You will need a good plan, consistent proven effort, and time to catch up. One of the hardest ranking challenges are competing with sites that has been around longer and are also actively competing for ranking. However, it can be done!
SEO Factor #2 - How Often Do You Have Fresh Unique Content?
Most marketers will agree that having lots of original, top quality content is essential. The fresh unique content you put out is what will drive the hungry search engines and visitors to your website. Search engines reward sites that have new fresh content and ignore the ones with common or stale content. Check out our article, “Has Your Social Media Gone Stale?” It will explain why you need to keep feeding the search engines with constant fresh content.
SEO Factor #3 - The Quantity And Relevance Of Your Material
Search engines decide which websites are the best match to explain the keywords placed into the search engines. If your website is about plumbing, it should have articles and videos that are related to explaining plumbing. The competitor that has the best quality and freshest content is the one that Google will rank higher.
SEO Factor #4 - Backlinks Need To Be "Natural Links"
You’ll need quality backlinks (links coming from websites with high rankings) to your website to demonstrate to search engines like Google that you are an authority in your niche. You may be thinking “Great! I saw an ad for 10,000 inbound links for $50 – problem solved!” Sorry, but search engines have a lot of requirements for positioning a website, and thousands of methods of keeping you from gaming the system. If your website goes from just a few links to thousands in a short time period it looks suspicious. They will assume that it is not because you have just released an incredibly popular website content that everyone discovered and linked to right away. Search engines like to see "natural links". If you get too many links in an extremely short time period, search engines may punish your website by dropping you down even lower in their rankings or dropping you completely out of the Google search. This means you can't just buy high quality links and get credit with them. Also, the links should be from top high quality websites that are at least somewhat related to your niche.
SEO Factor #5- The Keywords In Question
Putting keywords in your articles helps your ranking, but watch out for keyword stuffing. (Shoving as many keywords in as possible.) The search engines are looking for keyword stuffing and if you are found doing this, they may be put your website on their black list. It may also turn off humans as your article may look spammy and difficult to read. If it seems unnatural to place a keyword in a certain part of your article, it probably will be classified as "stuffed". It is best to just place keywords naturally in the title, first paragraph, meta description, H1,H2,H3 tags, title tags or image tags.
SEO Factor #6 - Your Industry And Competition
Some industries are highly competitive and a few have little competition. If you want to win the race to the #1 ranking position for your niche, the first thing you need to do is get professional advice for a strategy. You will need constant fresh content, taking ownership of your very own unique long-tail keywords, to focus on keywords that will drive traffic to your website, and making those keywords uniquely yours (not just on your website but in your niche). The bottom line to winning the ranking competition in a highly competitive market segment is to either out-think your competitors or spend more trying than they do. Reviews on Google Plus stressing your keywords and engaging activities with your customers are also very important.
SEO Factor #7- The Algorithm Of The Search Engines
Ask not what Google can do for you, but what you can do to make your site more attractive and appealing for Google. Search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo are regularly changing their algorithms in an attempt to provide a better assistance for searching and more appropriate searches. SEO strategies are constantly modified. So if you are trying to use SEO for ranking, you must keep up-to-date with the constant changes. What was popular just a few years ago is now probably banned on sites.
SEO Factor #8 - Certain Items Rank At Different Speeds
- Videos - Depending on your competition, a video can be ranked within a day to a week. This is why I personally love videos.
- Blogging - Keeping your content fresh and unique to attract websites with high ranking links to your website will makes your blogging time well worthwhile. It takes longer for a blog to be noticed and ranked than a video (a minimum of 24 hours) as it has so many variables. Using a keyword as a meta tag and creating interesting unique content which creates buzz and drives scores of new visitors will also help improve the speed.
- Local Directories - Registering in local directories usually takes between 3 and 6 months for search engines to notice.
Once your website starts to climb, your competitors will notice and begin working even harder on their own exposure. Good marketing is an art that needs commitment, practice, and time to devote to continuous analysis and learning.

The Straight Scoop On Twitter Business Basics
Does Your Business Need Twitter?
Do you want to get your brand out there? Is it really worth your time and effort to use Twitter for your business? Many companies are realizing that both their company and brand are invisible. They are using Twitter to promote, connect, and brand their company. In this article we will discuss what Twitter is, what it is used for, how it helps your business, and some Twitter basics and tips.
What Is Twitter?
Twitter (www.twitter.com) is a social media site that revolves around the principle of followers. It uses a system for publishing very brief information (also known as "tweets") of 140 characters or less. It allows users to send brief text updates with URLs, photos, audio clips, blog posts, and videos. It's a social site where you can send your message to millions. Twitter users that you follow will have their tweets appear in reverse chronological order on your main Twitter page. You only receive Twitter content from individuals you have selected to follow. Each user has a username and avatar (profile picture). Messages will appear in the main feed or timeline.
What Does A Business Use Twitter For?
Twitter is great way to connect with customers, get your brand out, and give feedback. It is a great platform to market your products or services for free. Twitter is also for sharing company news, blog posts, videos, and things you want to sell and promote. It can also be great place to promote your event to the masses.
There are many companies that make the mistake of not interacting with their followers. With each tweet you read and respond to, you are building a relationship. The entire point is to follow others, be followed back, and engage. It not just a one way post where you post your messages or updates and leave. It involves a two way post interaction, retweeting with others, and adding people back. It is a marathon to building followers, not a sprint. It will take an average of 3 to 6 months to get a following, it does not happen overnight.
Become The Expert In Your Field!
No one cares about what you are eating for breakfast unless you are a restaurant, promoting a diet, promoting nutrition or in that niche. They care about the value and tips you contribute and that you are hearing them. Value is subjective. Each post has the potential to go viral (better than word-of-mouth promotions). The best thing you can do for your brand on Twitter is to take your current interests and activities and establish a feed on Twitter to deliver your fresh content with blog posts, videos, podcasts etc. to your followers again and again. Then build your brand as you answer your followers back. Google will help you build your Google Rankings as you give fresh content.
What Is A Tweet?
A tweet is a short text-based post (also known as a status updates). It is so short that your message is limited to a maximum of 140 characters. It helps to have clickable links to forward your followers to.
Hashtags: What Are They And How Do You Use Them?
A hashtag (#) is a way for individuals to search with keywords within Twitter posts about a certain subject or topic. The hashtag symbol (#) is a fantastic way to classify particular subjects, keywords, or search phrases within Twitter. For example if you are searching in the Twitter search feed for TV shows, webinars, trending topics, earthquakes, bad weather forecasts, etc., you click on a hashtag for that search and you will receive a stream of tweets that are related to the keyword or the subject you searched for. For example, if you put in the Twitter search #marketingtip and you will see a list of tweets that are marketing tips.
Hashtags can be used to continue discussions about particular subjects. They help you to locate and create a community of individuals enthusiastic about the same subject . This creates a simple way for searchers to discover and discuss details relevant to a topic. Before you create your own tag, you might want to look for it on the search to see if anyone has used that hashtag yet. You can place the hashtag anywhere in the tweet, not just at the end.
How Can You Reply To Others On Twitter?
To respond to other people on Twitter, give a reference, or a mention, just put the @ icon at the front side of their login name. For example, it would be @Username. Place a “@” right in front of the person's name, business, company or whatever you want to bring it up under and have it replied to. There is also a “Reply” option under twitter posts for your convenience. Everyone who follows that person (subscribers) and your following will also see your reply. If someone is following you or the person you replied to and clicks on either name, they will go to that person's Twitter page. This gives them the opportunity to follow that person also.
Twitter allows you to communicate with individuals who you might not normally come into contact with. If you want to communicate with a superstar or a person with a huge following then deliver a simple @ concept or opinion on something they are doing. If you get a reaction you can then take it from there.
It is not used for discussing yourself or your brand. You can connect to other discussions with others by using the @ icon to respond to them. This is how you socialize on Twitter.
How Do You Share Other People's Statuses Or Tweets?
RT or "retweet" is sharing an individual's Twitter and crediting them with it. Just like on Facebook when you hit "share", it is placed on your wall of statuses.
If you are looking to get in touch with someone, try using RT to retweet some of their information before you introduce yourself.
How Can You Send A Private Message?
If you want to send a message that is private, send a direct message. However the only people you can message are people who are following you. Go to the top of the page and select the "gear icon" on the top right. From the drop down arrow, select “Direct Messages”. Then click on the “New Message” icon. Next, type in the name or username of the follower you want to send the message to. Enter your message and then hit “Send message”. Unlike tweets, direct messages are private and can only be seen by the recipient of the message. This is similar to sending message on Facebook.
How Do You Like Something On Twitter?
Liking something on Twitter is selecting that persons tweets and clicking on "Favorites". It’s a way to let the poster know you liked their tweet for whatever purpose. However, it also gives you a way to bookmark the tweet so you can go back to look at it later. Just select the "star" symbol below the tweet, and then click on “Favorite”.
How Can You Shorten Your Links To Fit in Twitter?
You are limited to 140 characters for tweets so when you are posting a link that is long; you can use a URL shortening service. I like to use https://bitly.com/ it is fast and easy to use. Simply copy the URL that you want to shorten and paste it into where it says to paste. It gives you a shorter link you can use.
You can make a customized timeline of users you want to select in a list. You can be added to a list without your consent or knowledge. People can follow your public lists. Lists can be private or public. Private lists are lists only you can see. You can follow a list by clicking on “Lists” from a person's profile.
Other Random Tips
• Use a picture of yourself or your company logo in your customer profile.
• Find out who the influencers are in your market and see if they are on Tweeter. If they are, follow them.
• Follow exciting individuals on Tweeter by displaying your real attention to them.
Be realistic, it takes time to build a following unless you are a well known Superstar. Rome wasn't built overnight and your Twitter following will also take time. You have to participate to get the most value.

Love That Google+!
Why Should You Be On Google+?
The last thing you need is another social media site! Right? So if you were to just pick the important sites to be on, would you pick Google Plus? I would! In this article I will go over why I love that Google+ and how to get on it.
Advertisements are distracting and it is peaceful to get away from them.
You can divide your friends into categories called circles. Think of how of you know them or classify them. Did you work with them, go to school with them, hate them, and have a common interest with them? You can only have 5,000 friends in your circles, but an unlimited number of friends can circle you and follow you. There are no friend requests here and no worries of you both agreeing to like each other to be friends. Just add or remove friends whenever you want. You can post to public, particular circles or just one person. You can even share circles of friends.
This is a video chat with up to 9 other people at one time. It is a small group meeting where you can see and hear each other without having to physically be together. They can be located from anywhere in the world. If you want to add more, you can record it like a free webinar. What else makes its great is you can screen share.
❤ Trending Topics
There is a category called trending topics to see what are the hot trending posts that are going viral: news, humor, events and holidays.
Hashtags in Twitter are similar in Google+. Hashtags are used for finding posts that use them. You can find them in the Google+ search that indexes them. Making a hashtag is simple. Start with the # symbol and then end your hashtag with either the space or tab key. This makes it clickable. Your hashtag can be anything you want it to be. You will know it worked after you finish typing it as it changes to a blue colored text with a grey box.
You can join interest groups called communities. You can make friends and share information with people who share your passion or you have things in common with them like locations.
You can locate a business in your local community that interests you. If you have a business, your business can have its own business page. You business page is similar to a Facebook fan page where you can post about your business updates and fans can post reviews on your business.
As you start adding people to circles, you interact and engage with others by commenting, giving their post a plus, and sharing posts. They are more likely to circle you back if your posts are interesting, you comment on their posts, you engage showing interest, and when you hit the plus one button on their posts. This is not just a “build it and they will come” scenario. You build a network of friends by attracting them and keep them by interacting and posting.
This is a great feature that prevents constant notifications from people commenting further on a post that starts to go viral.
Google has its own browser so the search is the best and your comments are indexed by Google. This is a great feature if you have a business and want keywords indexed.
There are great editing tools for photos and instant mobile uploading.

Do you want to have more interaction and engagements with your posts going viral? Here are 16 posting tips you can use for you Facebook Fan Page which can be tailored to fit your businesses brand:

How To Manage Your Social Media Campaign – Without Getting Overwhelmed
So you're an entrepreneur and business owner. Great isn't it? But not exactly a breeze. One of the most important aspects of running an online business is using social media effectively - but how do you manage it all and not get overwhelmed?
1. Know What You Want.
Have a clear vision of what you would like your business to become. Think of it in positive terms - 'I want a 10% increase in turnover within 2 months' rather than 'I don't want my turnover to stay static.'
Make sure this goal is SMART - Specific, Measurable, Achievable (within your control), Realistic (a stretch but not impossible), and Time based (give it a deadline.)
2. Break It Down.
Break the goal down into manageable steps. This gives you a strategy. Then assess how social media fits into this strategy. That will give you some practical actions that will guarantee progression but stop you from getting overwhelmed. Remember - even if you stumble, you're still moving forwards.
3. Prioritize The Bottom Line.
Technologies come and go (remember Myspace? Friendster?) but the bottom line of your business is the number one priority - always.
Social media is a great addition to your marketing strategy - but is can't replace the nuts and bolts of effectively running your business the old fashioned way.
I'm not saying ignore social media, but I am saying keep it in perspective - it shouldn't be your only strategy and if a there's a day where you're in contract negotiations to sign a big deal which means you miss Twitter for a day it's not something to sweat about.
4. Choose Your Social Media Platforms - And Stick To Them.
To say that there are a lot of social media networks is an understatement.
As a business owner, some may hold more appeal to you than others. For example, I love Twitter for its ease of use, chatty nature and ability to connect directly with peers, influencers and potential clients. Facebook is great for building a community but can also very easily become a time vampire!
I also like commenting on articles and blogs (or responding to comments made on my articles–hint, hint!)
What are your preferences? In all likelihood, if you enjoy the platform, you'll be much more inclined to use it more frequently–so start with what you like and go from there.
5. Be Honest About What's The Best Use Of Your Time.
This can be a tough one. Are you on social media for personal enjoyment or for business gain? And does this choice determine what and how you share on these networks?
Is social media something you personally want to be part of or would it make better use of your time to outsource it to a virtual assistant or specialist service?
Automate as much as you can. There are some great tools to help you make social media more manageable. Services like Hootsuite, Buffer, and StumbleUpon, can all be great tools to take some of the hard work out of your social media campaign.
7. Notice Progression
One of the biggest mistakes people make when they're working towards any goal is focussing too much on where they'd like to be and not noticing the progress they've already made. This can lead to feelings of despondency and de-motivation - especially with a big goal that will take some time to achieve. By shifting your focus to the progression your made and how far you've come, you can build not only your motivation but your self-esteem too. Above all else, business should be enjoyable. If it's getting stressful, notice the signs and take some action - get support, clarify your priorities and work your plan.

Has Your Social Media Gone Stale?
Are you turning customers off and away from your business?
What makes certain businesses more interesting? Why do some Facebook Fan pages have more LIKES? Why do some Twitter posts have more retweets than others? What do all these questions have in common?
Before we get to the answer of what they are all missing, I want to tell you a story that is an analogy. What if you were to walk into a bakery and find all the bread and bagels so old there was mold on them, wouldn’t you be turned off? In fact you would probably not even return to that bakery and would tell your friends about it. The word would spread quickly and customers would stop coming and eventually they would be out of business.
Social media is the same way in that it has a shelf life. When someone goes to your blog, Facebook Fan page, Google+ Business page, Twitter, etc. they want to find new fresh content.
To answer your question about what all those questions above have in common, is that they should all have fresh content and updated posts. Readers are constantly hungry for fresh content. When they go to your blog or social media profile they are looking for fresh and unique content. Why build a fan page and then abandon it? It is important to make a positive brand name for your online business and not turn off potential clients with your lack of actions. In this post we will discuss 3 reasons why it is important to have fresh content.
Did You Abandon Your Profile?
With so many social sites out there and new ones coming in, it can be easy to sign up, set up camp, and then leave your site. Are you guilty of this with your own social media? When was the last time you posted on your Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, or Google+ Business page, etc.? When was the last time you posted your own blog post or video and shared it on your social sites? If you are guilty of not updating it daily or producing fresh content then you are not only repelling people away, you are throwing away all that potential to spread positive words about your business and brand! You are ignoring the chance to develop relationships with your fans and prospects. Your social media needs to be updated daily even if it simply is to say "Happy Friday" to your followers and fans and giving them the latest daily scoop on your business.
Have Your Social Media Sites Become A Static Billboard?
Social media is meant to be social with current news. That's right; you can’t just set up a site and be done with it like a billboard or a yellow page listing. It this were to be true, people would have just stuck to the yellow pages. Instead they have now gone online looking for a more personal and current touch by going to your fan page. When they hit the LIKE button or answer your posts, they want that interaction. Social media is a place for your business and brand to shine by engaging with your fans and potential clients. If you are not interacting or posting, why have a fan page and why be on social media at all?
Why Do You Need Fresh Content For Your Website And Social Media Sites?
Fresh Content Reason #1- Ranking & SEO
Do you want your website to rank above your competitor's websites? Do you want to increase the traffic to you social media sites? The fresh unique content you put out is what will drive the hungry search engines to your sites. Search engines reward sites that have new content and ignore the ones with stale content. Google and other search engines look for the most relevant current information on topics and place them on the top of the page where people are searching. This is how people can find your business when they are searching for information about your niche. You need to constantly put out fresh spider food (content) to stay at the top of the page. It is an ongoing feeding, not a just a onetime feeding. Online spiders are always hungry and they get mad if they can't find new fresh content to feed upon.
Let's say you are a plumber and no other plumber in your area is pumping out fresh information. Google would rank your site with fresh content information above the other stale content plumbing sites because the bots are looking constantly for sites that are hot with updated content. They way they say thank you for their fresh spider food by ranking you higher than your competitors.
Are you keeping your business site and social media sites hot? To stay hot you need to be posting fresh and unique content daily. Are you producing your own content (or outsourcing it so it is taken care of?) such as blog posts, videos, tips, or stories, that have to do with your niche? If you are doing all this daily, you are going to look like fireworks in the sky and your business is going to be buzzing. You will start ranking higher and when people do a search, they will find your website, Facebook Fan page, Twitter, Google+ Business Page, etc. Wouldn't you want them to find you and not your competitor?
Fresh Content Reason #2 - Newsworthy
There are thousands of websites that have free articles so why can’t you just copy and paste them to your site? Search engines will penalize you for taking other peoples articles, this is called duplicate content. Duplicate content is information that is found in more than one place or URL.
Think of your blog and your social media sites like a news channel. You need to be talking about the latest trends, tips and what is going on in your niche. Even if you are just a plumber or dentist there are many things you can do to produce fresh content. If you were searching for the latest cell phones on Google, would you rather read a blog post from 2 years ago or one that was a week old? I am sure you would agree that the one that is a week old would be more of interest to you since technology is constantly changing and the other post is out of date.
Fresh Content Reason #3 - Keep Your Brand Alive
Back to the example above about walking into a bagel store or bakery and finding that all the bread gone stale. What if this was your social media presence? If they went to your website or Facebook Fan page are they going to find posts that are over a month old? If so, they probably would not come back for more and worse yet they probably will tell their friends. On the other hand, if you updated all your social media and blog post they could hit the LIKE button, share it, or comment, etc. They would more likely to return again since you are looking like the expert of your field that has great current resources versus your competitor that has stale content that is out dated. Pumping out fresh content on your social media sites will keep your fans interested and bring in more traffic.
How Fresh Is Your Site And Social Media Posts?
What would your potential customers find right now if they were to visit your website or social media site? Fresh juicy content? Don’t risk your brand going stale by abandoning your site or social media profile! Having a Facebook Fan page that has posts over a month old or a Twitter stream that is not updated is not a good image for your brand and business. At the opposite extreme, you don’t want too many posts that annoy your followers and fans.
Do You Need Help With Your Social Media?
The St. Paul Marketing Team understands how overwhelming and demanding the time that is needed to keep your brand fresh. This is why the St. Paul Marketing Team has a team that creates fresh content to pump into your website or social media sites. This keep both the hungry spider bots and the hungry potential customers fed.

Choosing Blogging Platforms For A Beginner: Blogger Vs Wordpress
Are you a beginner at blogging and deciding over which platform to use?
Are you confused on what the differences are between Blogger and Wordpress? In this article we will discuss Blogger versus Wordpress and the pros and cons of each platform. As we all know, over the past few years, blogging has become a well-known activity and many people have found it as a career path. Done with enough dedication and focus, blogging can be a profitable activity and full time self-employment.
From a writer’s point of view, the world of blogging has broadened the amount of people that are exposed to posts and texts. Up until some years ago, writing and being a writer was reserved for a few lucky people whose work caught the attention of editorial companies, or were brave enough to market and publish themselves.
Today, even though the quality of the texts is still a requirement, the Internet allows us to expose our work and build a following. It is really up to us to use the tools correctly and take advantage of this situation that many writers did not have before.
Being a writer and producing a lot of work takes up most of our time. We (I dare to include myself in this category) are a breed of perfectionists that spend hours in a single paragraph. That said, it’s only logical that we need a platform that will make it easy for us to show our work and doesn’t take up all our time and energy.
I personally have little or no knowledge of programming, so when I’m faced to endless lines of codes, it might as well be drawings or numbers or unknown symbols, it all looks the same to me. It doesn’t matter how many tutorials (claimed to be dummy-proof) I come across; I will not master the art of programming, ever.
Why I Chose Blogger
I’ve gathered enough information to make my own choice between the available choices of Blogging Platforms.
A lot has been said about Blogger and Wordpress and which one of them is better. The conclusion that is drawn in every article that I’ve read, is that the choice will invariably depend on the knowledge that you have on programming, or the available resources to hire programmers. It will also depend on what you intend to use your blog for.
As I stated before, have no programming skills whatsoever, so that’s why I decided on Blogger. A lot of people say that this platform doesn’t look as professional and that it can hurt the way you expose yourself to others. Well, although this is somewhat true, it can quickly be changed. Even though Blogger is much more user-friendly than Wordpress, you do have to surf the web to find tutorials to tweak the templates and the overall look of your blog. You will swim through a bit of codes, yet you will not drown, I promise.
Myths You Will Hear About Blogger
You Do Not Own Your Content And It Can Be Deleted At Any Time.
You files are stored in Google servers, but are not held hostage there! This will only allow them to be in a much safer environment, as opposed to hired servers that can be hacked (doesn’t mean they will, yet the chances are a bit higher of this happening).
You should always back-up your files, and professional bloggers recommend that you do this at least every two weeks. It will depend on the amount of posts you make and the frequency.
Blogger Is Not SEO Friendly.
I have been reading up a lot about SEO and it’s a fascinating subject. What I’ve learned is that traffic of links will depend on your SEO skills (tied to strategies and other tools) and not on the platform. Besides, it doesn’t really make sense that the platform that is created by Google itself can’t be optimized, does it?
Sponsors Don’t Like Blogger Platforms.
What advertisers want (and this is coming from someone that has worked in advertising for several years) is to be featured in websites that have high traffic and readers that keep coming back to it. This will be possible due to SEO strategies and relevant content, not the platform.
The Pros Of Wordpress
For lots of reasons people chose Wordpress. It is a giant of a company that has grown over the past ten years. It was born after Blogger but it held its ground and it grew with many features that stand high competition towards the rest of the platforms.
Wordpress is more suited for large companies that would rather have complete freedom as far as developing the website; there are endless amounts of plug-ins that are available for the Wordpress platform that will make its functionality much more attractive.
However, in order to take advantage of this full development, you need to be able to manage programming codes. The slightest mistake (something as simple as a missing comma) could bring several files down and make them not work until the code is fixed.
If you don’t have that kind of knowledge, then you are probably going to hire help that can increase the final cost.
Decide For Yourself: Blogger Vs Wordpress
You will find endless tutorials of active Blogger users that will guide you through the process of managing your account. Wordpress forums have an active community but that it doesn’t seem to be very helpful.
Blogger has a much more limited amount than Wordpress (that has over 70 to chose from). This is why many people find it unprofessional-looking.
Downloadable Free Templates
Related to the previous item (Default Templates), a lot of designers are providing many templates that are free to download and use in Blogger; they are not that active on doing that with Wordpress, since it’s much more difficult. You will find downloadable templates, this will raise the final cost.
Blogger allows no editing in comments, though it does allow moderation (erasing comments). Wordpress does allow to edit and moderate comments and its form is much more user friendly. This feature will be helpful depending on the importance you give to what your readers have to say (which should be a lot!).
Images And Video
Blogger will allow up to 1 GB of image storage and 16 GB of video storage. Wordpress, on the other hand, will allow 3 GB of both video and image storage.
Even though Blogger doesn’t have a default system for measuring and giving out statistics, it does allow third parties to do it. Wordpress does have a default system for stats, though they only last for two days and they don’t allow third parties to measure.
Mobile Phone Adaptation
This is a great feature for current days since Smartphones and tablets rule our daily routines. Blogger beats Wordpress in this aspect since it does support this feature.
I hope this information was useful for you to make your choice. I already chose Blogger but because of my lack of programming abilities. Now it’s up to you!
We want to hear what blogging platform you decided upon and the reason why. Are you happy with your decision? Let us know by commenting below.

Effective Email Marketing: Requirements and Benefits
What is the most effective means of staying in touch with prospects and clients in terms of cost and reach? Email marketing!
Emails provide not only an essential way to communicate both necessary and important information, but also it is a surefire method of building your reputation. It also provides trust among clients and prospective clients as they get to know, like, and trust you. While expensive advertisements tend to rule in terms of effectiveness, the Internet with the social media networking provides great opportunities to advertise. You can place an ad on Facebook for example and offer a webinar, Ebook, or video in exchange for the opting-in so you can capture their email and get them on your email list. Then the email marketing begins.
Here are some requirements of effective marketing and benefits of using email marketing for your business.
What Are The Requirements Of Effective Marketing?
Email marketing informs people who are already interested in your product or services. They have opted-in for receiving your emails and want to know about updates within your niche and new products or services. Your email list caters to a group of people who know you and knows about your business. Many will follow you back to your social media sites and fan pages. They will refer friends and family to your products and services through giving your posts, comments, videos, or blog, a like, a plus-one, comment or share in their social media channel. This definitely improves your search rank and hence visibility.
The reach of email marketing can be huge. Your list can be divided into segments such as those interested in your niche or targeting customers. This can save time while it makes it easy to have focused campaigns.
While most forms of advertising costs you a fortune, email marketing can be done for peanuts.
What Are The Benefits Of Email Marketing?
Most paid advertising modes cost a fortune. The time of duration or display on TV, or the number of time it is going to be shown, the page and position on the newspaper, the size and colors of the advertisement can only add to the cost. Other popular modes of advertisements can be equally costly.
While most paid marketing campaigns have a developing time and more time to be aired or published, email marketing can be developed in a very short time and within hours can reach the people declaring your news.
One of the major aspects of email marketing is the very personal flavor that can be added to it. Mentioning their name makes it extremely personalized as customers like to be pampered and recognized. Moreover you can store a database of their personal choices and pamper them with special targeted offers. Wishing them happy birthday and remembering their anniversaries can be added to your services and hence conversions.
4. Engaging Content:
The fact that email marketing can be designed in a very short time, and that the templates can be saved for multiple uses, gives you the liberty of communicating with your customers and prospects frequently. Engaging content as well as informative content will make sure that they remain hooked to your emails and don’t unsubscribe.
Emails can be forwarded to friends and family at the click of a button and that makes it even more interesting, valuable, and viral. This way it can raise your customer base substantially at no extra cost.
Email marketing can be more eco-friendly when compared to print media, or mail marketing campaigns.
The major advantage in email marketing is that the emails can be target specific and the overhead cost of such advertisements is extremely low compared to the other forms. Also, the fact that your email campaigns can be traced and tracked for effectiveness with some easy metrics, makes them awesome. One thing should be kept in mind that email marketing should not become a spam for the clients and prospective clients.
If you have had positive experiences and improved ROI using email marketing, please comment below and share with our audience your experiences.

4 SEO Strategies To Improve Ranking
Do you feel that search engine optimization is constantly changing and hard to keep up with?
This is true in the most part, but there are certain techniques that you can implement with the future in mind. More often than not, successful search engine optimization can be achieved successfully simply by implementing strategies and knowing what to expect next. Nevertheless, keeping up-to-date with changes is important to ensure that your search engine optimization efforts are working for your business.
What Are The Latest Trends And Strategies Used In SEO To Improve Ranking
Strategy #1 - Backlinks
What is the most common trend in SEO? Backlinks that are from external websites. Backlinks can add value to your website as far as search engines are concerned. Links from relevant and popular sites are more beneficial for your website as anything less can potentially be picked up by search engines and become a negative.
How can you create backlinks? You can create backlinks to your website by posting guest posts on other sites, Web 2.0’s, getting your business on social media sites, and gaining visibility/shares, blogging, and more.
Strategy #2 - Social Media
Do you have a Facebook Fanpage or a Google+ Business page? Did you know that social media optimization is a fast rising importance in the world of SEO? Social media sites have become massively popular amongst web users and see millions of visitors each day. When you have a businesses page on these social media sites you are potentially gaining visibility to millions of people.
Search engines will recognize how popular your page is and you can gain links when users share your page. You have the chance to capture the attention of potential customers an engage with them at the same time. Social media should be on your agenda for Internet marketing.
Strategy #3 - Guest Blogging
How can you gain links back to your site while offering useful information and looking like the expert in your field?
What do you blog about on other sites? When you guest blog on another site it should be relevant to your website, products, or services in order for the post and the link to be effective. Gradually introducing guest posts can be beneficial and considered more natural by search engines. Natural efforts for SEO are favored by search engines and will get you in their good books.
Strategy #4 - Content
Content is a big contender in SEO. Search engines like relevant and unique content. Content should be clear and to the point; too much is not an issue for search engines, but can be for Internet users who want to find what they are looking for quickly. Updating your content on a regular basis will be appreciated by search engines and by users. Users that intend to return on a regular basis will only do so if you give them a reason to. Good, fresh content is important; the majority of search engine optimization articles you read today will explain that content is king when it comes to it.
Ensuring your best efforts doesn't mean that you won’t be hit by search engine updates. All you really need to do is follow the rules, keep up with the trends, and make sure your search engine optimization efforts are as naturally formed as you possibly can. Social media and guest blogging can help you achieve this so consider every aspect to ensure effective Internet marketing for your website. Doing so will ensure that you see the increase in traffic, visitors, and customers, which means you will soon see an increase in profits as well.
If you have found other strategies that help improve your page rank, please share them with our audience. If you have also found something that the search engines will penalize your page and decrease your page rank for, please share that with our audience also.

Guest Post: An Article On Steroids
Should you accept guest posts or write guest posts for others?
Could guest posts be your ticket to earning big traffic and monthly revenues? Yes! Guest blogging is a great way to help grow your business. It is a free traffic strategy or an SEO backlink strategy at most. In this post we will discuss: What guest posting is, how it works, and why you want guest posts.
Search engines have changed their algorithms in a manner where content on your page is important. When you write meaningful subject matter that readers find relevant enough to share with their fellow peers, you rise in the new search engine results Page (SERP). It's all about giving value.
What Is Guest Posting?
Guest posts are articles submitted by non-members of a website or blog. It is another form of article marketing. What it is, is actually going directly to important websites with higher Page Rank and placing your guest post on there. When you write for a guest post you put links that go back to your blog or website. This provides backlinks back to your website or blog.
Most blogging sites that have guest bloggers allow backlinks in the author’s bio. This ensures that this writer is real and also provides a way to pay back the guest blogger with a link or links.
You can view guest posting as article marketing on steroids!
How Does It Work And What Are The Steps Involved?
You contact the owners of blogs and websites that are within your niche. Offer them an original article full of content and value in exchange for a link back to your website or blog. Towards the end of your post, ask a specific question of the reader and encourage them to reply with their answer. Then, after the post goes live, respond to each and every comment made on your post. Often you can build real connections via the comments and with blog owners as a result of a few posts.
What To Look For When Searching For A Site To Post On:
• A blog that is in the same niche
• Industry leaders
• Make sure their blog is of great quality
• Look for a high Page Rank
• Check to see they have social share buttons
• A place at the end to put your bio
Why Put The Effort Into Guest Posting?
Guest posting is a great way to build relationships with other business and blog owners in your market. When you focus on building strong relationships and helping others grow their business, you’ll gain more than just a single backlink or blog post could get you. This is where the real leverage is at.
Why Guest Posting Is Beneficial?
1. Traffic - SEO And Link Juice
Guest posts can bring lots of direct traffic to your website or blog.Other websites within your market are going to be linking to your website, often with the anchor text of your choice! Search bots love sites that have authentic information to offer especially if they can’t find it anywhere else. One of the many criteria for search engines is the quality of links that points towards a website also know as a backlink or off page links. Why is this important to you? This is important because the more links you have from relevant websites, the greater your chance is to reach the top ten on the search results page. By guest posting on websites that are related to or are similar to your website you are increasing the level of ranking via quality backlinks.
2. Establish Authority
How does a having a well written articles full of values and tips establishes you as a leader? When you submit a post not only is it important for search bots but also humans. They will read your article when you provide solutions to their answers. They want the gossip and the juice. You will be exposed to readers of a niche category who are looking for information, solutions, and answers. They are more likely to follow you if you write quality articles, and this establishes you as an authority.
3. Building Strong Relationships
Ever been to a blog that has the most boring topic or not even good English and yet has a lot of comments? This is because they have established relationships with other bloggers and these bloggers are helping them back by commenting. So you don’t have to have the greatest content to have a lot of comments or traffic.
If you comment and tweet out their blog posts and hit the LIKE button on Facebook or +1 on Google+, they are more likely to reciprocate back to you. Guest blogging can amp up the relationship. How you may ask? If you have good relationship with your fellow bloggers and their readers then they will keep coming to your blog regularly. They may even subscribe to your email list and whenever you publish your latest blog post they will comment on it. If they share your latest blog post on their social media sites it will help bring your site more brand awareness and boost traffic. They can even refer advertisers to your site or write a blog post back for your site.
Guest posting is a great way to get your blog or business out there to let people know that you exist and for them to find you. How will people know your website exists if you don't plant seeds? Every time you write a guest post for another site it plants a seed so, people know you exist. 9 Easy Tips To Improve Your Search Rankings With Facebook & Google+
Can social media networks like Facebook and Google+ improve your search results? You bet they can!
Of course, there’s a relentless, never-ending work that goes into it, but that’s one of things every business must do. The payoffs are worth it. You are likely to hit two birds with one shot. With constant social media activity, your business can engage with readers and customers while prepping your business to be found on search results.
Here are a few tips to go about doing that:
Google+ Search Result Tip #1 - Google+: Your Elite Ticket To Social Network And Enhanced Search Listings
Google built Google+ with a purpose (a dual-purpose, if you will):
1. It allows you to build a community and go social.
2. It helps your business "get found" on Google’s Search Listings.
Google+ dominates Google Search results. Google - Rand Fishkin’s experiment with Google+ (searching for his own name). Let Google+ page flush your web pages – along with their own Google+ pages in for better search rankings.
Google+ Search Result Tip #2 - Use Google+ As A Mini Blogging Platform
If you ever had to do SEO writing, you may do it on Google+(and not so much on your blog). The best practices still apply: never write for the search engines, ever. Find ways to pepper your keywords or key phrases a couple of times within each post you create for Google+ page but never overdo. Google+ pages also give you more control on your content to help you edit content whenever you like (not so with Twitter - Facebook has limited editing capabilities).
Google+ Search Result Tip #3 - Google+ Is Your Indexing Catalyst
Anything shared on Google+ has a higher chance of getting indexed faster than normal webpages. Think of bringing in curated content, rewritten content that’s already present on your blog, and even your social media posts on Google+ again. Let Google feed on your content.
Google+ Search Result Tip #4 - Connect With The Sharks
The more you connect with the “influencers” on Google+, the better the chances of growing your Google+ network. Also, writing intriguing content for Google+ gets you noticed and makes "influencers" share your content. This works virally. Good content is shared; you are noticed. Google attributes more importance to your URLs when more people annotate, like, and share it.
Google+ Search Result Tip #5 - 10 Minutes To Fame On Google+
If you could just put in 10 minutes of your time per day and get a lot out of it, would you? Google+ makes it well worth your time. Just post on Google+ short content, tag others, comment on others posts, share others’ content, share your content, add a few awesome people on your circles, and allow others to add you in their circles.
Facebook: The Affable Social Behemoth
Can Facebook help to enhance your search results? Yes, it can, but to a much lesser extent than Google+. There are ways Facebook will affect how your web pages show up on search results on Google. There’s also a lot happening within Facebook itself.
Here’s what you need to do, beyond the basics:
Facebook Search Result Tip #6 - Geo-target Your Posts
One of the unique benefits Facebook presents to marketers is the ability to geo-tag your posts. Annalise Kaylor wrote a post on mistakes, "Your Brand Makes That Makes You Look Like A Social Media Rookie" where she reveals that geo-targeting your posts gets you a better edge-rank. Further, geo-targeting sends out strong social media signals that help with precision targeting as far your SEO efforts are concerned.
Facebook Search Result Tip #7 - Engage In Open Forums, Events, And Groups
Facebook users (including brand pages) have ways to keep their Facebook activity private. For businesses, this can hurt. To maximize the reach of your Facebook fan page, engage with others on open forums, create events, and participate in groups. Search engines pick up all the content you produce in these forums.
Facebook Search Result Tip #8 - Optimize Your Facebook Fan Page For SEO
Start with the basics such as picking the best name for your Facebook Fan page. Next, pick a “vanity URL”. Set-up tabs on here on, it’s SEO as usual. Inject keywords at strategic places on your Facebook Fan Page, fill up your profile, and create custom SEO-optimized content updates.
Facebook Search Result Tip #9 - SEO Tricks Apply For Facebook Fan Page Updates
Rand Fishkin of Seomoz.org suggests using your best keywords at the beginning of every update. You may also use “notes” on Facebook to enhance content volume on your pages to make sure search engines find your page.
Back To You...
Are you going to focus on both Facebook and Google+? What’s working better for you now? When you do a search for yourself or your brand name, what results are showing up? Feel free to share your ideas in the comments below.

SEO: 5 Questions You May Not Think To Ask
What is the most important factor to determine the success of a SEO campaign?
There are many factors in determining the success of a SEO campaign, but the most important factor is before starting the project to have an open conversation between the client and the SEO Solutions Company or specialist. This not only clears any doubts, but it also helps in the designing of better and more efficient solutions for the SEO project. Here is a list of five questions for both the client and the specialist to ask each other. You may not have thought of asking, but will be much better in every aspect if you ask.
5 Questions To Ask The SEO client:
Question 1: What is the niche or the target audience for the site?
Reason: With the niche or the target audience known it becomes easier to develop the content. The unique interests, search patterns, and preferences of each niche audience helps to develop a more focused content that can be used more effectively for SEO purpose. Knowing the market of the target audience, helps in setting up more specific marketing goals.
Also understand what their brand message is and how they want their presence known on the Internet. This will also help you design marketing collaterals and other plans in a much more focused way.
Question 2: Which target market and markets do they intend to explore in terms of location or geography?
Reason: If a company is looking for global exposure their case will be different from a company looking for a specific country or location for business expansion. Asking about the preferred market or location will help determine specific SEO that will drive relevant traffic to the website.
Also asking about the preferred local search engine will help you do more focused SEO.
Question 3: Who are their top competitors?
Reason: Asking about their competitors and going through their competitors websites will help you understand a few factors necessary for better SEO. It will help you to identify the unique aspects of the competitors that draw traffic and better rankings. It will also help you identify their competitor's weakness and client’s strength. This can be used to determine the right content. Look for certain features on their competitors sites that the clients would like to also use in their site and find the competitors flaws that you can use as a competitive advantage.
Question 4: What is the final goal of the site?
Reason: Knowing the final objective of the website determines which methods or ways to boost traffic and achieve the right results. This will also determine the correct performance indicators to explain the success or failure of the SEO campaign.
Question 5: Have there been previous SEO attempts?
Reason: This question will determine where you will need to start. This includes information regarding previous keywords used and to new keywords to target. Knowing the webmaster control functions of the webpage will give you the keys to optimizing the site.
5 Questions To Ask The SEO Specialist:
Question 1: Can you rank my site to rank number 1 quickly?
Testimonials from precious clients will help you understand a company’s or specialist's potential. In case there is no testimonials available, try to get a client list to determine some feedback about them.
Question 3: Does SEO really work these days?
This will give you insights about SEO and how they tackle the new algorithms of search engines. They might show you some samples to prove their point.
Question 4: Should you use SEO software?
Good SEO companies will help you understand why it is useless to use any type of SEO software.
Question 5: Have any of your sites been blacklisted?
The answer will tell if the company is honest with its clients and uses only white-hat approved SEO trade practices.
Back To You:
Whether you are the client or the SEO specialist, it is always best to communicate. The more you ask questions and clear away the confusions, the better it will be for making the picture clear. Don’t feel shy, go ahead and ask the question that is on your mind that will always yield better results.
If you have had good or bad experiences due to communications prior to starting an SEO project, please share these experiences with us below.

5 Low-Cost Local Marketing Ideas
How can you market your business locally without busting your budget?
Whether you’re a start-up business or you’ve been in business a while you don’t have to spend a lot of money on marketing to get extraordinary results. Marketing is one of the most important aspects of survival and success for a small business. It can't be ignored!
Without marketing, your company will lack needed exposure to survive and may not stand a chance at experiencing growth or success. In this article we discuss 5 low-cost marketing ideas your business can use.
How Can You Make Your Business Stand Out Yet Stay Within Your Budget?
How? By investing your time in data analysis. Research helps you to maximize your budget in the right places and establish a marketing splash. Through research you can find the right values and needs about potential customers to create "consistent buzz". You need to find out what your customers value and are searching for before you plan your marketing strategy.
Here is what to research:
• The geographical location of your business. Learn where potential customers usually go: nearby park, malls, restaurants they love to dine in, grocery stores they shop in, and places they like to hang out online.
• Find out what is your customer's pain and how can you solve it?
• Learn the products or services that they now purchase.
Does Your Business Have A Marketing Plan?
Developing a marketing plan can be as simple as scheduling a time line of when to: order business cards, attend networking opportunities, attend organizational meetings, attend speaking engagements, set aside time for social media, fit in time for blogging and more.
If you try to be known for everything you will be remembered for nothing. What are you known for? What do you want to be remembered for? What problems does your product or service solve?
Your Internet business marketing strategy should enhance and support your business' overall marketing objectives, including getting more leads and sales from website visitors. The St. Paul Marketing Team offers you five low-cost marketing ideas that will promote your brand at a cost your budget can handle.

After creating an attractive clip about your company, they place it in multiple places online where those searching for your very product easily find them. The best part? Videos are posted at no cost to you.

These top sites appear on the very first page of every search engine when searchers are looking for a local business.
3. Graphic Design

The St. Paul Marketing Team ensures that your vision for your business is realized in a dynamic brand logo that represents your professionalism and individuality over and above others.
Avoid going to sites that can create free business cards. The initial price may be inexpensive, but the price of losing potential customers is priceless. You don’t want to your company’s brand to be classified as a generic plane Jane or ruin your brand entirely.
Once your design is perfected, St. Paul Marketing Team can create a number of marketing tools to help propel your company into the spotlight. Some of these tools and graphic design include: ads, coupons, flyers, keyword strategies, articles, brochures, Facebook Fan page, Google Plus business page, blogging graphics, blogging illustrations, CD covers, and websites.
If your company doesn’t have a website yet, there’s no telling how much business you’ve already missed out on. A website exposes your product to countless potential customers who might otherwise never come across your brand. It builds the needed bridge of "know, like and trust" to your potential customers. The St. Paul Marketing Team can create an interactive company website that captures your vision and portrays your business with an attractive graphic design. 3 Reasons Why You Need To Outsource Your Video Marketing
What is the number one way to grab attention and engage online?
Videos are the best marketing strategy by far. They are designed in a similar fashion to basic TV commercials. In this article we will talk about the 3 reasons why you need to outsource your video marketing and how it can give you the best return on your advertising investment. Knowing what to do and what not to do puts your brand above the competition. By outsourcing your video marketing, you can count on getting quality videos to market your brand and business. Start outsourcing your video marketing today.
What Are The Advantages Of Video Marketing?
Videos are action oriented which captures the attention of viewers better than stand alone ads. The action of a video combined with the use of audio, makes this format even better at grabbing people's attention. Internet websites are usually packed full of ads promoting all types of products and services. In the competitive business market, it makes sense to use a format that will be better at getting people's attention than traditional banner ads.
When you see something over and over it increases your belief and increases their credibility. The more visually familiar people are with your brand, product or service the better your return on your investment. Hiring a professional videographer to increase your professional appearance is priceless.
Video marketing can be designed around the needs of people who use the product or service (target market). The video can showcase products available for sale or as a forum for someone to discuss various service options their company or organization has available. Retail stores, charitable organizations, and real estate offices can use this type of marketing tool. Videos usually run for less than one minute so it does not detract from the Internet browsing experience of people shopping online.
Why Should You Hire A Professional Video Production Services?
Outsource Reason #1 - Profitable
The first step for most businesses looking to use video marketing is to hire a professional video production company. These professionals know which type of video will work best for what a company wants to promote. The cost of video marketing is a lot less than you might think. When you hire a video marketing company they take the worry out of web marketing and management. They will give you the best bang for your buck. They know how to make videos that grab attention while conveying message and call to action. They understand the mindset of the target audience and use it when creating a campaign for you. They will help you get more leads for a lower cost than you were able to without them.
Outsource Reason #2 - Connections With Affiliate Websites
The professional service will usually make contacts with affiliate websites who will host the videos in exchange for a similar hosting from the business using the videos. For example, a real estate office can create affiliates with financial institutions and furniture stores, because these fields are related to their industry.
There are also many businesses that use social networks to promote their services or products. These networks generally charge a small fee to have video ads placed on them. The benefit of paying to advertise on a social network is well worth the cost. Studies have shown video ads placed on social networks have higher success ratios than ads placed anywhere else on the Internet.
The expertise of a professional video company will also benefit businesses because they know where to place the videos in order to get the best results. While creating captivating ads is an important part of advertising, the placement of the videos is also a key part of a successful video marketing strategy. A video marketing professional can code the video title and description with long tail keywords. They can take your video and submit it to many sites to get your ranking up on the search engines.
The options offered through these websites include tools for managing the videos placed online. In addition to the professional companies available to create video productions for online use, there are also several major search engine sites that offer tools and consultations for anyone looking to create videos for online advertising.
Part of a good marketing strategy is analyzing the results of the videos to see how well the campaign is doing at drawing in new customers or clients. The results are not instant, but a video marketing company can get your videos ranked. It is only a matter of time that people will find your video in the future.

5 Social Media Profile Picture Do’s and Don’ts
Why does your picture need to be consistent on all social media channels?
Do you add people who don’t have a face on social media? Do you think it is easier to remember a face or recall a name? Most people vote for the face and won’t add a person unless they have a face. Do you have a business and use social media? Are you attracting or repelling a following? In this post we will discuss 5 social media profile picture do's and don'ts. Following these 5 simple rules will help you attract a larger following.
Social media and branding is all about connecting and interacting. It is important to have a consistent branding strategy across all your social media sites. Along with your logo, your personal profile picture of your face becomes your icon. Do you remember the profile picture icons of Betty Crocker or Dear Abbey? If you remember them, it is because it was always the same exact picture, no matter where you saw it. Their profile picture became an icon.
A profile picture for personal branding purposes should seek to display what you are really about and tell a story about your style, your values, etc. It is all about putting across the same picture message consistently until it becomes your picture icon.
Here Are 5 Social Media Profile Picture Rules:
Social Media Profile Rule #1 - Easy To Remember
Do’s: When your social media friends go from site to site, if you have the same picture they are more likely to recognize, remember, and add you.
Don’ts: Having a group picture, as a profile picture is a no - no! How do your friends know which one you are? I'll bet they are hoping you are the cute one!
Social Media Profile Rule #2 - Know, Like, Trust
Do’s: When you keep your picture the same, your social media friends are more likely to get to know, like, and trust you because they can recognize you as they go from site to site. Consistency is a must! They need to see the same picture of you.
Authentic is in! People are tiring of over photoshoped images. They want less photoshopping and more truth. The real you is you! It can't go wrong because it is the real thing. Keep it simple and use the same great photo over and over and over again. Consistency is more powerful than photoshopping.
Don’ts: What is your reaction when you notice your new friend's profile picture has now become a ghost picture? You will probably defriended them! Right? Or you probably wouldn't have added them originally.
They can’t get to know you if you change your picture, have a profile picture of a car, or have a cartoon face. As people add more and more friends it gets more difficult to remember all of their names. However, a picture is more easily remembered. You want people to recognize and remember you.
Make sure the picture you select is dated correctly; it can't be from 10 years ago. It is hard to face the changes that happen with age, but a 70 year old lady showing a picture of her when she was 20 loses all credibility when people find out she is really 70. Don't you agree?
Social Media Profile Rule #3 - Consistency With Your Brand
Do’s: If you professionally cut hair, you need to have a good haircut on your picture. If you are a professional personal trainer you need a thin firm body.
You want the same picture because it is your personal branding icon. It will have the same look and feel as your company's brand. If you are blogger, your readers want to find and recognize you no matter what social media platform you are on. If you are a business owner or a network marketer you want your followers to find you.
Don’ts: You don't want short hair on one picture and then long hair on the next. Trust builds with consistency.
Social Media Profile Rule #4 - Professional
Do’s: The picture you select creates an image in people's mind. It should be a headshot of you. You can show off your smile and personality. It should brand you and no one else.
Don’ts: Have you ever seen a bride who got married 5 years ago and she still has the wedding dress on for her profile picture? How about someone who picks their babies picture as their personal branding picture. Your profile picture should be professional looking, not in a bathing suit, unless you are a model.
Stay away from shooting your picture in a bathroom mirror, it does not send a professional message. A bathroom mirror is not a professional photo shoot spot.
Social Media Profile Rules #5 - People Relate To A Face
Do’s: When people are first introduced to you, make sure it is the real you. You might not be proud of some feature, but it is your feature.
Don’ts: Make sure the profile picture you have up is yours and not someone else's. There are bloggers and others on the World Wide Web who steals other people's photos. All trust is lost when they find out you used a fake picture.
If you keep changing your picture every week, it becomes difficult for your followers to find you or remember you.
Have you ever discovered someone wasn't using his or her real picture? Let us know your experiences and how it makes you feel. Let our readers know how important you feel it is to keep a personal profile picture both real and consistent.

Insights On Mobile Marketing Trends
What are the new hot trends in mobile advertising and marketing?
Retailer's wanting to increase their profits need to wake-up! Mobile marketing has not only arrived - it is starting to dominate online marketing. Consumer's are letting retailers know their mobile marketing culture trends through their increasing wild reactions to frequent mobile usage? In this article, we’ll highlight some of the hottest trends and new possibilities with mobile marketing.
Today's hunters don't carry bows and arrows, they carry their mobile devices for hunting hot deals. Consumers increasingly prefer using mobile devices to make informed decisions when hunting for deals on products and services. In the U.S., over 50% of consumers use Smartphones. Based on this number, many retailers are now focusing mainly on mobile marketing. Marketers are especially careful of timing when sending out their messages so they're compatible with the device the consumer is using at that moment.
How Can You Blend Mobile Marketing With Social Media?
What is the most intimate type of technology a user has access to through social media? Most will agree that it is their mobile device. Therefore, social networking represents a humongous part of a mobile user's time. Unlimited access via mobile is fertile ground for many advertisers to zero in on certain demographics when delivering products and services to consumers via strategies known as social targeting and retargeting. According to comScore, 45% of all Facebook traffic and 55% of all Twitter traffic is mobile. With the help of network partners such as Facebook and Twitter, advertisers can significantly customize messaging by tracking social conversations related to a user's location to target them.
Retargeting is where advertisers use the collaborative technology of Adelphic and BlueCava, for example, using linked devices to deliver ads based on a consumer's registration data to track usage patterns. Since the attention span of consumers is extremely short, advertisers must make all of their content accessible across mobile web and through apps. They must also meet the consumer's expectations and primary needs as well to create a successful marketing campaign.
Engaging consumers through the mobile marketing culture has motivated advertisers to focus on four main areas:
• QR codes
• Google Goggles
• Short Message Service (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)
In the past six months, 63% of mobile marketing has come from QR codes. Consumers want automatic access to what’s important to them. QR codes make this possible, since they hold alphanumeric data and are very easy and practical to use for any sized business.
QR Codes And Their Influence On Mobile Marketing
When you capture a QR code with a camera-integrated phone, you can connect to electronic content on the web, trigger numerous phone functions, and link the device to a web browser to be immediately added to a company's opt-in mailing list.
An app designed for the QR code reader that has made its mark worldwide is i-nigma that can virtually accommodate any type of camera phone. Facebook functions, such as Sharing and Liking, allows consumers to easily access URLs linked to new landing pages, which in turn enhances the effectiveness of SEO and SMO by encouraging more sharing between users.
The Future Of QR Codes
The next series of marketing barcodes will be capable of containing even more data–so much so that an Internet connection will not be required–all necessary data will be embedded in the code–soon making today's technology outdated.
Are you using mobile marketing for your business? If so, share with us your latest marketing update ideas.

Where would that be, you might ask? Online of course! In this article we discuss the benefits of using local online business directories and what they can do for your business. Lets' face it, either your business can be found online or it can't. The famous ‘Yellow Pages’ is a paper local directory where important business information and ads have been placed for years. Its present function is now more likely to be used for a toddler's booster chair. Rarely is it used anymore as a source when people are searching for a product or service. (What a waste of money to advertise there!) To stay in business in today's competitive market, you must maintain a minimum of marketing activities. Being listed online is not a choice, but a minimum starting point for all serious business owners!
What Is A Local Online Business Directory?
Remember when information was accessed only with the help of a hard copy manually? One would have to go through page by page to get the information that he would be seeking for. With the invention of the Internet and consequently the digitization of these directories, listings have been made very easy to access. Just type in what and where and the business you are seeking appears.
4 Purposes Of Online Business Directories:
Purpose # 1 - Less Paper Work
Was it possible to update a paper directory? No way! People needed to wait until the next directory was printed. Now when there are updates needed in the data, just a few seconds for corrections are needed for an update. There are so many pages in a paper directory that it is too heavy to carry around and hard to even find a place to store it.
Purpose # 2 - More Online Usage
Where do most consumers immediately prefer to search for a business? Online of course! Especially in countries like the US, a business needs to mandatorily have their business be listed in a business directory because more than 70 percent of people search on the Internet for a product or service. If you need a dentist for example and you live in Woodbury, MN, you would go to Google and type, “Dentist in Woodbury, MN”. You would then see a choice of dentists that would be listed. If your were a dentist in that area, you would want your business to be listed. Ask your yourself when was the last time you searched for something with the yellow pages? Chances are it was a long time ago!
Purpose # 3 - Exposure
Are you placing new advertisements in paper directories? With online advertising in directories, just place it once and if nothing changes, you're done. What if there is an error? If there is an error online, it is very simple to change. Your change can be immediate, no need to wait until next year's directory comes out. There is also no monthly advertising fee. The directory site places your keywords that will make your business information search engine optimized. The better your search engine rankings, the better your business is exposed and the better chance your business has to grow.
Purpose # 4 -Cost
Have you checked the price a paper 'Yellow Pages' business listing plus the advertising in it? It is now a monthly out of sight expense! The cost of an online listing, plus advertising and having a professional do it all for you, is a fraction of the cost of advertising in the paper 'Yellow Pages'. That's right, a fraction of the cost! Plus it is a one- time fee, unlike the monthly fees of the paper Yellow Pages.
Why Do You Need Your Business Listed In The Online Business Directories (benefits)?
• Exposure - It's the ideal vehicle for your business to be found and connected with searchers who are actively searching for your product or service.
• Competition - It gives your business a chance to step ahead of your competitors. Many of the directories such as Google+ Local, place your business in a competitive order. How? Stay tuned for another article explaining this soon.
• Less Errors - They can be corrected immediately.
• Categorizes Your Business - It places your business in the correct niche.
Should You Place Your Listings Yourself?
It is possible, but not recommended. It is best to have a professional do it for you. Here are 3 reasons why you should hire a professional:
Outsource Reason #1 - Consistent
Even if you had endless time, the biggest mistakes people make are not being consistent with their listings due to not having a master list to copy. They may list their address as Ave. and in the next directory list it as Avenue. This will make it appear like you have 2 locations or 2 different businesses, which will weaken your competitive placement in the listing.
Outsource Reason #2 – Abundant Amount
If you only list in a few directories you are missing a huge opportunity to get found online by searchers. There are way too many directories to be able to hit them all unless you do it consistently. Here are the top 50 local directories: Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yelp, Merchant Circle, LinkedIn, YellowPages.com, White pages, Super media, Yellowbook, City Search, Mapquest, Biznik, Local.com, Foursquare, ThinkLocal, CitySlick,Us Yellow Pages, My/city, Dex, BizJournala.com, teleAtlas, Justclicklocal, Discover Our Town, Metrobot, Best Dealas on, twibs, LocalEze,Kudzu, CityVoter, Manta, Zipweb, MathPoint, UsCity.net, Local Site submit, InfoUSA, Axciom, Infignos, Yellowassistance, ChoiceVendor.com, My huckleberry, Genieknows, MojoPages, Brownbook, Magic Yellow, CitySquares, TeleAtlas, Navteq GPS,and Judysbook. This list is just the tip of the iceberg as there are more than 200+ and growing out there. If you only list in a few directories you are missing a huge opportunity to get found online by searchers.
Outsource Reason #3 – Time
It requires massive amounts of your time to find, enter and edit all of these directories. Professionals have a system, this is what they specialize.

Your Tween And Facebook: The New Frontier?
Did you know that Facebook is now considering allowing younger users on the social networking site?
Facebook's previous 13 year age limit may not hold for long! This is being brought on by the influx of tweens and even younger children who are already a part of Facebook. Realizing the need to take into account the little ones, Facebook is looking into measures that can be taken to let them have accounts while ensuring that they stay relatively safe. The tween presence on cell phones, computers and mainly the Internet leaves them open to a world of problems. This new revelation has left many wondering just what would happen if tweens were allowed on the social platform.
To Be Or Not To Be
Facebook legally allowing minors on their domain has to be coupled with some effort which allows for greater control in the hands of the parents of the children in question, and Facebook realizes this. Parents will most likely be able to link the accounts of their children with those of their own. For most of us, being on Facebook is no longer a matter of choice. This could potentially eliminate the need for Internet and parental control software or PC monitoring software which many parents have to resort to since they need to make sure that their kids are safe while they’re away.
The Ins And Outs
Parents would have a say in who their child can add to their list of friends, and which apps they’re accessing as well. No other details are out as yet, but if these are the only measures, then they’re not nearly enough. Some critics think this is starting to look as though Facebook is playing a double edged game, something akin to having one’s cake and eating it too soon. The situation, since it would appear that it’s trying to rope in more users so that it can only further its own data mining goals, seems to be a questionable one if not outright odd.
It’s All About The Money
Consumer groups are also waking from their slumber and pushing forth the idea that not all will remain well since Facebook’s advert obsession is likely to transcend to this new age group that it’s trying to add-- or recognize since we know they are already there. Many are wondering just exactly what kids will be subjected to in the name of targeted ads ...and if there’s going to be a control switch which parents can flip in case they don’t want their kids exposed to such madness. Currently parents have been unable to separate their tweens from Facebook, so accounts with greater parental control sound like a great idea. However, unless we can be sure of the outcome, playing the under 13 game isn’t really a good idea.
It’s no joke that the social media giant has managed to intertwine itself into almost every aspect of the Gen Y side of things. Gen Z on the other hand is an altogether different ball game. It wouldn’t be exaggeration to say that Facebook is like a black hole, where once you get sucked in, the likelihood of you getting out of it has an inverse relationship with the number of people in your friends list. It’s no different for tweens.
Let's Hear Your Opinion
Do you feel Facebook should be stopped from allowing the little ones to be on it? Do you feel this is a great idea for the little ones? Speak now before it happens or forever hold your peace! Have a say in the future of our children by placing you comments below.

Video Marketing: Beefing Up Your Social Media Campaign
Are you looking for ways to beef up your video marketing?
Video marketing can effectively help you towards catching someone's attention and engaging them for a period of time. In this article we will talk about 7 tips that should prove helpful to beefing up your social media campaign.
Videos are the quickest way of gaining their trust, which can convert your audience into long-term subscribers. If you are looking for ways for using videos towards marketing your business then here are 7 beefy tips, which should prove helpful.
Tip # 1 - Be Natural With The Script
People should not appear on camera as if they had memorized their lines or are reading it from the script. Script presentations must be very human and flow naturally and should not appear stiff or awkward. Your script must contain some boundary and structure, which can convey exactly what you want to put across. Practice from the script and once you are comfortable, then you can put the script aside and carry on naturally.
Tip # 2 - Have A Solid Strategy
While marketing your video it is important that your content has substance with a goal to achieve. Always have a strategy, which keeps in mind the type of audience you want to target. There has to be a specific purpose in your content otherwise it will just be a wasted effort.
Tip # 3 - Keep Your Presentation Simple
It is all very well to go extravagant while producing the video but that may not produce the right result. The key factor of your presentation is the message content and positioning of your brand. Therefore, stick to simple ways if you do not have the capabilities beyond that.
Tip # 4 - The Right Storyline
Having your video with the right story line is the fun aspect as it is the time when you sit back to become an audience.
You can have a clearer perspective by sitting in the viewers’ chair as you can see the flaws while you work on it. Besides, the viewers will be more impressed if your video unfolds with a proper storyline.
Tip #5 - Keep It Precise
If your video presentation goes on and on, the attention span of your audience is bound to shift. If your video is too long, then divide it into two parts and cut down where it gets boring. Make your video piece short and precise while beefing it up with something that will catch the audience’s attention.
Tip #6 - Flexibility Is The Key
Always plan ahead of time and make sure that you are flexible when the time comes around. This is because what you conjure up in your mind may not be the case in reality when you are in the set of your scenes. Therefore, you will have to help yourself in making the setting as you had imagined it. You will also have to take into account the weather and have a support setting should inclement weather hit your shooting.
Tip #7 - Strong Title And Consistence In Your Message
Having a catchy headline is bound to attract the attention of others. The headline must give a hint of the message which should be consistent through out. You need to give quality and value to your audience and focus on the message.
Finally, your presentation will become more receptive to your audience if you are able to disseminate the message well.
If you have video marketing tips you would like to add, we would love to hear them. Please comment below.

Facebook Lists: Why And How
Are you irritated by that one friend that posts 20+ times in a day?
Do you rarely ever see certain posts from friends in your news feed? In this post we will explain how to eliminate seeing posts from irritating friends that post 20+ times a day and how to see more posts from certain favorite Facebook friends. We will discuss what a Facebook list is, why you want to have one, and how to use it.
What Is A Facebook List?
A Facebook list is a way to personally organize posts certain friends on Facebook into a personalized newspaper. By having friends organized into lists, you control your personal news. You see and send content, pictures, or videos in your Facebook stream based on who you want to see or hear from. Organize your friends by interests, how you know them in your life, or who you want to keep track of.
Why You Need To Have A Facebook List? Click On The Video Below.
What Is A Smart List?
Did you know that Facebook has an automated friends list? Click on home and then look at the left margin and you will see a list under the category called, “Friends”. The top four on this list is called the “Smart List”. The categories for the smart list include: close friends, acquaintances, family, restricted, city, and school.
Smart lists are based on the profile information you provided and where you live. It automatically places friends on those lists from the information you gave on your profile such as: work places, educational intuitions, and places you have lived.
How Can You Manually Add Friends To Your Smart List?
Select the list you want to add more friends to. On the right side, Facebook creates a lists suggestion of friends for you. Click on to "add to" your list. Above the list suggestion is a box that says, “+Add friends to this list”. Enter the names or emails of friends you wish to add to this list in the box provided. If you add people into your “Family List” they will be notified to confirm this. Other lists don’t require confirmation notifications. In fact no one will know which list you put them under except the family one.
Here Are A Few Examples Of Possible Lists:
• Not Sure
• Great Photos
• Posts Too Much
• Hot Singles
• Make Me Smile
• Dump After Reaching 5,000
How Can You Manage Your Lists?
After you have added people to your lists you created, you can manage the different kinds of notifications that you can see from your lists. Click on the particular list; go to the top right side where you will find a button that says "Manage List". Click on the small triangle next to it and a list should pop up. It will give you the selection of rename list, edit list, choose update types, and delete list.
If you click on Choose Update Types, up pops the following list with checkmarks in front of the following selections: status updates, photos, games, comments and likes, music and videos, and other activity. Just click on the checkmark of the selection you wish to eliminate. It will remove the checkmark and you will no longer see that category from the friends in that list. For instance I don't like to see games so I have unchecked games on each of my lists.
How Can You Organize Facebook Friends On Others Lists?
On the left side where it says, “Friends” there is a button to the right of it that when you hover over it that says, “More” in blue. Click on "More" and a page will pop up. On the top of the new page, click on “+ Create List”. Another box will pop up, type in the name of the list (category) you wish to create (high school, sports, church, co-workers, etc.) and the names of people you want to go on that list, then click on create that is in blue.
No longer will you be swimming like a fish lost in a sea of Facebook posts and chaos. Once you get your lists organized you will save time. Just click on a particular list and find posts that you wish to hear from.
Your Turn ...
If you find using Facebook lists has improved your experiences on Facebook in same manner, share with us below. What other creative lists categories have you made?

How To Use SEO Keywords
What does it mean to use keywords for SEO?
When optimizing your site the first thing you need to think about is "what are the keywords for which I want to be found?" Choosing the best keywords can help you generate more traffic.
Books, blogs, research papers and custom essays are written about it but we decided to make a short but informative review on this topic.
You need to create web pages optimized for each keyword so that those pages appear first in the search engine results, and to provide information that the visitor requires. If you bring visitors to your site, but you do not give them what they want, they will go away. It wastes your time and theirs.
When Google Likes Keywords
Google favors sites that have the exact keywords in their title tag, description tags, and finally in the body of the text, so this is how you have to use your SEO keywords. This classification is used to prevent pages being ranked in the top results only because the search terms are present, perhaps once, somewhere hidden in the page.
This would be unfair on the user and the other websites. This is why Google likes your keywords to be spread around your description tag (Meta tag), title tag, and web content (body of the text). The logic is that if someone searches for "Was George Bush Jr. just an April Fool’s joke that went too far", the information that the user finds, will most likely be a site that deals with this argument, and not an unrelated site because some fool sneaked 10 keywords into the webpage’s background colors.
Where The Keywords Should Be?
Someone who has been ranked highly for a keyword on his or her page without the word being in the title tag or description may have not deliberately tried to be positioned for that word. This happens sometimes when Google thinks that the site answers the users search term adequately.
Although this is nice of them, you should remember that if you properly position your SEO keyword in the right place, you wil be able to knock them off the top spot in no time.
Search for your keyword by placing your keyword in quotation marks, this search shows sites that have the exact phrase in their popular tags. These pages are your real SEO keyword competitors. In your search engine results, you will see how many pages are displayed for that keyword.
Everybody agrees on the fact that keywords with less than 20,000 pages are easy to beat with little work, if it is over 100,000 you really need to apply yourself to get to the first page.
Search Volume Of The Keywords
Search for and use keywords with a low search volume and low competition, but you should also remember to make a compromise between research and competition, it is useless to play for an easy word that is searched for twice day, when with a little more work you can play for a word with 30 searches per day. In other words, getting to the top spot with a keyword that has little competition is easy, but if the keyword is rarely searched for then what is the point?
Once you have chosen your keywords that meet these criteria, you should check again the competition for the first page, but this time you should use a Firefox browser. You should also download the plug-in SEO-Quake here.
To install the plug-in simply download it and click on it (virus check it first). Follow any instructions it gives. The installer starts, click "Add to Firefox", then click on "install now" and at the end, restart Firefox.
When the icon in the bottom right of your browser is green and orange, (not gray) it is active; you just have to click with the left button to turn it off during normal navigation. The default setting is "on request", that means it collects data only when you ask.
If it is always active - you may be banned from some sites for abuse (your IP address blocked) because the plug-in does a lot of queries to collect the data and many servers and search engines do not like too many questions (translation - they don’t want you mining too much information).
With this plug-in you will have lots of information about all the sites you visit. It will help you to create your own custom SEO keyword strategy. You will be able to better judge the impact of where you put your keywords and how you use them. The bar at the top of the page can help you in ascending or descending all of sites based on retrieved data (e.g. PageRank best to worst).

8 Benefits Of Mobile Marketing For A Business
Looking for another way to market to existing customers?
Do you realize you might have an untapped gold mine among your present customers you already have? The search for a high-impact and cost-effective method to increase revenue can be found by looking at existing customers. This is a great way to gain additional sales for your business. A business that markets to its existing customers can do so at a lower cost than trying to gain different groups of new customers. A business can use mobile marketing to achieve this goal. Below are 8 benefits that make mobile marketing a smart choice for a marketing strategy of a business.
#1 - Opt-In Option
Mobile marketing is an opt-in option since subscribers have signed up or opted in to receive a message periodically by email or on their mobile device. This means that messages need to be tailored to all the subscribers of a mobile marketing campaign.
#2 - Immediate Impact
Mobile marketing promotions can be seen by users instantly. A new message can be easily created and executed. Messages that are sent will be received in seconds by all users. This means that you may have customers in different areas that will receive a message almost instantly. Another bonus is that the message can easily be forwarded or shared on social media sites.
#3 - Affordable Cost
The cost of mobile marketing is much less than traditional marketing methods. A business does not pay any postage, printing costs, or air time for a commercial. You can send messages in bulk that often cost less as the volume of messages increases. This is a good option when a business has a small budget for advertising.
#4 - Conversion Rates
Mobile marketing offers a higher rate of conversion because messages can highlight a specific product or service that is directed to a specific audience. This will often result in response rates that are high to convert a large number of subscribers into paying customers. Mobile marketing is able to offer users a discount or special promotion. Response rates are often 10 percent or higher.
#5 - Customer Engagement
Customers of a business with a mobile device or smartphone can be easily updated with important and up-to-date information about a business. This helps engage customers with messages that include a call to action. This can include stopping in on a specific day or visiting a business's website.
#6 - Customer Feedback
Messages can be sent to subscribers to gain feedback on a product, service, or a recent promotion. This is a great way to determine the preferences of customers. They can let a business know if they like an aspect of a business or voice their displeasure. Feedback can be used to improve products and a service to customers.
#7 - Mobile Website Versions
Consider creating a mobile version of your website. This gives mobile users that ability to view the site and the information you want to provide to your customers.
#8 - Target Marketing
Tools are available that allow marketers to determine the location of the customers for a business. This provides another way a business can easily engage their customers.

What Can Make Or Break An Article?
Keep the blog short to keep the interest of the readers. The usual amount of words is around 500. The blog should get straight to the point when able to do so. Some people use personal experiences and stories to draw readers in to create interest. Businesses can use blogs to attract prospects in their niche through the use of personal experiences and problems they have solved that others may be searching for.
What Keeps It Interesting?
• A blog should be interesting to the reader. There should be humor in the content when possible. Keeping it light and sometimes funny will keep the reader interested enough to continue reading and possibly to seek further information.
• Through the use of supportive information, blogs can attract readers to a website in search of further information. It should also contain information that teaches something of interest and have value. When sharing information it should be pertinent to the website.
How Do You Make It Informative?
• When writing a blog, make sure to include useful information that can inform an individual of something important. An example of this would be a blog about computers.
• Blogs can be useful in giving descriptions and tutorials, “how to” information, and information describing the different types of computers.
• Use blogging to teach how to complete certain tasks. They can teach the steps to something and teach where to look for further information on the subject.
What Should You Check Before Publishing?
After completing your article be sure to proofread and check the grammar and punctuation. Check for spelling and add in keywords to optimize your article. On page SEO is adding keywords to increase search engine visibility so they can find and access your website. Make sure your blog is full of interest and that you are writing for humans not bots.
How Can Blogging Be Useful In Social Media And Forums?
• Use blogging to express feelings, emotions, and opinions about subjects. Forums open up blogs for discussion by encouraging the expression of opinions.
• Discuss information or subjects that people are talking about and searching for. Then write an article about what they are searching for and give them answers. Color your article with emotional interest so it will create an engaging environment. You will get more comments, likes, shares, and +1’s this way.
• Blogging allows readers to chat back and forth as well as discussing everything. A blog can last for days or weeks of continuous conversation and can be shared on social sites.
Students use blogs to discuss and access school information. Teachers use blogs to list assignments for online and offline studies. A blog can give everyone the same information without having to email each individual person.
When you are ready to get started remember to keep your blogs interesting with high quality content, make them informative, and use social media to make it go viral. Building an audience takes time just persevere as you build.

How Can Blogging Help Your Local Business?
Are you a local business owner that is looking for new strategies to get more customers?
If you have a website for your company, the next step to enhance your website and get traffic to it is to establish a blog. What can a blog do? In this article we will discuss how a blog can raise your company’s brand, get more traffic to your site, and make your business look like the credible source. If you want a result that can translate into more money and customers then blogging would be beneficial for your business.
Blogging Reason #1 – Improved SEO Rank
Do you want more traffic to your site? Do you want more leads? By having rich content on your blog with relevant keywords that people are searching for, it will get more comments, attention, likes, shares, etc. If you had many articles that provided fresh unique content, your blog will rank on page 1 in the search engines. Blogging is a natural way to optimize your site for search engines to get your business found! Your articles could rank for various combinations and get free traffic. Each new blog post you publish creates another way for prospects to find you. If you were Google looking at dozens of small static websites a thriving blog found on one site could be a huge quality signal, boosting that business blog to the top of the SERPs for many of their primary keywords. The higher your blog appears on the search engines results, the more people will visit your blog. Which means, more exposure for your business. By adding local keywords you can also target your audience to where you live. By having a blog they are more likely to find you. If you’re blogging on a regular basis, there’s a good chance that Google will rank you higher in the search results. If they can’t find you online, they probably won’t buy from you.
Do you want to establish your business as a credible source for a subject matter and the top source for your niche? If your articles are answering the solutions to all the problems they are searching for and your competitors are not, you will look like the credible source. When you have a great looking site that has quality content it adds to the favorable impression (“Yes, we’re the best business for …”). It makes them want to stay on the site and read more. By having a blog they are more likely to find you. When you blog, you create new content pages that will show Google you have “fresh” articles and this will also help increase your authority with them.
Blogging Reason #3 - Builds Social Presence
Do you want your business to be found on other social media sites? People are finding businesses on social media sites. In today’s social media world, engagement with your customers is expected and having a blog is essential to market your business. When you blog you add the ability for people to comment, share your blog posts on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, and more. This is working smarter not harder as your fans are helping you to market. We are in the era where recommendations from friends are valued highly. The more people that share your blogs, the more your business is being promoted. When they share your posts, those links can turn visits into leads.
Blogging Reason #4 - Build Trust
Do you want people to know, like, and trust your company? Having a blog can answer questions and be solutions to what they are searching for. What happens when a prospect visits your static website? What is there to set you apart or convince a prospect? If it doesn't standout they will yawn, get bored, and leave your site. When you add a blog on your site, they will discover a wealth of information.
Your blog should have articles with content that solve real problems. They will gain a better understanding of what you are about and what you do. When you educate people they get to know and like you. This makes your business more credible and they begin to trust you. They can post comments and immediately engage with you. No more yawns, instead they will be more willing to contact you for help over another competitor.
Blogging Reason #5 - Branding
Do you want more control of your business brand? A business blog can allow you to dictate an image to potential customers. Blogging lets people learn more about you and how you can help others. When you write about what you know, what you are good at, etc. this is great for branding.
The best business blogs add value through fresh content before they begin to sell to their readers. They build a community and educate their readers about their market. The more they feel that they know, like, and trust you, they more they will buy from you.
If you have a business website that is missing a blog, you are also missing out on traffic, rankings, engaging with visitors, and more. Blogging is an essential part of your marketing campaign. Don’t skimp out where it counts! Start blogging today and show that you are the expert in your field.
Do you have a business blog that helped expand your business? If so, we would love to hear about it! Comment below and share with other business owners what your business blog did for your business.

• Sharing photos
• Sharing videos
• Sharing blog posts
• Informational methods

There are many different kinds of business blogs out there and the majority of them do not have any traffic going to it. Is your blog one of them? If customers can't find your website, it impossible for them to buy your services or products. Your potential customers will go to your competitor since your business can’t be found. When people are searching, they need to find your business or you will go out of business.
Whether your business has products or services it needs to be on Pinterest. Pinterest is easy to use and in a matter of hours you can gather new followers and even promote it on other social networks. Facebook is connected to Pinterest and you can also link your Twitter account. The more exposure you give your business, the more people will link to your photos or videos.
Does Your Business Sell Products?
One of the great aspects of Pinterest is the ability to take cool photos of your products and share them with other users. This is great for those who operate an Ecommerce site. Pinterest will appeal to your prospective clients by visually showing them what you have to offer. As you take pictures of your products show different angels and close-up shots of them. Think of jewelry, purses, sunglasses, shoes, or gift baskets, etc. You could display all these pictures on the same board. Underneath each picture, attach a link back to your website with the price of the item. You can add hashtags (the # symbol used to mark keywords in tweets on Twitter) for people searching on Pinterest so they can find your products.
Make A Theme For Each Board
You can make categories of items that you sell and display by making a theme board. For example, make a board called blue opal earrings and only show blue opal earrings. Another board could be pearl earrings. You could also make separate boards for kids, specific customers, sale items, holiday items, etc. Each board can be a category of your products. This will create an online catalog and you can target gift ideas to certain groups. Many people may want to visit a website that has all the details in one place. This makes it easy for them to make the complete reference.

Does Your Business Just Have Services?
Highlight all your services with pictures and videos that can pinned on Pinterest. Pinterest is not just for products, it is also a useful marketing tool for services. Just list all your services and descriptions on your website and then create a visual board of your services. If you are a plumber, pin on the job photos. If you are a graphic designer, pin samples of your designs. If you are an interior designer, show before and after photos. You can even show videos of what you do. Showing your services visually makes them more appealing. You can also pin pictures from your blogs on Pinterest to attract readers for your articles. Another aspect is the ability to list down all the services that you are offering in an easy to follow visual manner. When people click on the links under the pictures and videos they will advance onto your website where they can find out all you offer. If your business blog has services on it without pictures, readers will end up bored and go on to search for other blogs that are more elaborate and attract readers. Customers don’t want to look at just type! Add pictures and videos which are pinned to Pinterest and keep their interest. It will give it a link to drive traffic back to your website.

5 Simple SEO Tips To Optimize Your Website
How do you beat your competition, increase your visibility, and get traffic to your site?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a technique used by webmasters to rank their sites/blogs higher in search engine rankings. If you have enough money to hire a SEO company or SEO expert for optimizing your blog/sites then do so. However if you don't have the extra money to spend on hiring a SEO expert then there is no need to worry because you can optimize your website/ blog by yourself. SEO is a process involving experimenting and learning. What do you need to do to get started? Below are 5 simple SEO tip to optimize your website:
SEO Tip #1 - Site Map Submission:
Do you want the search engines to find your site and index it? A sitemap is a list of accessible pages of a websites or a blog. Sitemaps provide page rank and link popularity to all the pages linked inside your site. It can help with the usability and site navigation.
There are two kinds of sitemaps: HTML sitemap and XML. XML sitemaps are treated well by the search engines. Sitemap submission is the first thing to be done when you want to optimize your site for the search engines. You should also submit your site map to the Google webmaster tool and Bing webmaster tool.
SEO Tip #2 - Title Tags:
Does your site need a higher ranking? Title tags are an important aspect when it comes to optimizing your site for search engines. With well-optimized title tags, almost any site has a chance to improve their ranking. With just a few small changes and you could rank for some very competitive phrases within a few weeks! Title tags are often missed as many web designers don’t seem to bother with them. It is worth spending a bit of time going through your own website to check to see if all your title tags are relevant and unique for your webpage.
Don’t be lazy and just put anything for the title as it needs to be unique. Title tags give a good indication about the content of your web page. Title tags should have less than 70 characters (counting all spaces) as search engines only show 70 characters in search results. Use of relevant keywords in a title tag is always suggested. Do not use the same title tag on more than one of your pages.
SEO Tip #3 - Meta Tags:
Do all of your pages describe what differentiates your web page from the competition? Meta tags (Meta keywords and Meta description) are used to describe the content of a web page. Meta tags are divided into Meta Keyword and Meta Tag. Meta keyword tags are not as important as they use to be, but the Meta description tag is still useful. A Meta description should be between 50 to 160 characters (including spaces). It should include your web page's primary as well as secondary keywords. You should use keywords in a concise manner so the description doesn't look like spam. Each page needs a unique description because every page is different.
SEO Tip #4 - Fresh And Original Content:
Do you want to be the authority of your niche? Does your site provide solutions, tips, and advice that no one else offers? Do you have a blog? There is no doubt that content is king and I believe it will be king always. To obtain better rankings in the search engines, write fresh and original content for your site or blog. Never copy content from others because this may lead to the removal of your site from search engine results. Update your blog/site at regular intervals with fresh and original content. Your articles should be fresh, unique, and useful to your readers. The more fresh content you post the better rankings in the search engine and the more you will attract people.
SEO Tip #5 - Backlinks:
Backlinks are the incoming links to a website or a webpage. Backlinks are considered the back bone of SEO. What matters most for backlinks is the quality of the link, not the quantity. The more qualitative and authoritative backlinks you have, the more value is given to your website or web page by the search engines.
Above are 5 simple SEO tips to optimize your website. There is no greater investment than SEO. What SEO benefits have you found? What other SEO tips besides the 5 listed above do you feel are important? Feel free to share your views about this post.

8 Tips To Keep Your Bounce Rate Low
Do You Want Visitors Who Land On Your Site Drawn To Exploring More Pages?
Do you want first time visitors to stay on your blog? We are in the era where blogging is popular and increasing. The free blogging services have created a commotion in the Internet world. As competition has increased it is getting more difficult to keep your blog alive, attracting traffic, and keeping fans. The rule applies if you give your readers something unique you will be rewarded. In this post I will discuss 8 tips on how to keep your bounce rate low.
What Is Bounce Rate?
Bounce rate is the percentage of those who leave your site after being on your landing page. You can calculate your bounce rate by using the following equation below.
Visits that left after one page / Total visits = Bounce rate
Bounce rate between 40-50% is considered as average. The lower the bounce rate on your site the better. You want the visitors on your site to be attracted to other content throughout your site so they will go to additional pages. The goal is to keep them on your site as long as possible.
How Do You Keep Your Bounce Rate Low? Here are the 8 tips:
1. Minimize your site loading time. 2. Proper ad-placement. 3. Quality content. 4. Less outgoing links. 5. Attractive landing page. 6. Easy site navigation. 7. Links with in posts. 8. Recommended for you.
Bounce Rate Tip #1 - Minimize Site Loading time
Try to minimize your site loading time because a visitor will not have patience to wait for a page to open. When they see that page is unresponsive they will leave. So use your tools effectively and minimize the load time.
Bounce Rate Tip #2 - Proper Ad-Placement
Place your ads at proper places. Especially the pop-up and inter-mission ads are very annoying for the visitors. Use good ad-publishing services and avoid pop-ups and link shortening services. Moreover do not add floating opt-in box because it slows down your web loading process and is annoying.
Bounce Rate Tip #3 - Quality Content
Creating quality content is the most common blogging issue. Why would someone stay on your page if they don’t care for it? If it doesn’t hold their interest, or they cant find what they are looking for they will leave. So write unique quality content with attractive titles that compel viewers to read more.
Bounce Rate Tip #4 - Less Outgoing Links
Try to use less outgoing links especially on landing page because too many outgoing links will surely take your traffic away. Make sure that all the out going links open in a new tab or window.
Bounce Rate Tip #5 - Attractive Landing Page
Your homepage should act as a landing page. If you are getting most of your traffic from search engines, then you should make every page just as attractive as the home page. This will make the visitors feel this blog or website is worth reading.
Bounce Rate Tip #6 - Easy Site Navigation
Your site needs to be properly customized and easily navigatable so that visitors can see what you have on your blog and what catches their interest. Display and organize proper tags and categories.
Bounce Rate Tip #7 - Links With In Posts
Personally I love this tip because it is very effective. When you make a blog post have other related articles linked within. Here are 2 examples:
1. In the beginning of this article I wrote, “What is bounce rate?” I could have written. CLICK HERE to read my post, “What is bounce rate?”.
2. I could have the words, “What is bounce rate?” highlighted so when they click on it will go to the article about “What is bounce rate?”. If you scroll up on this article to Bounce Rate Tip #3 you will notice underneath that in the first sentence the words, "Creating quality content" is highlighted and if you click on the link it will take you to a page about this. This is a link within a post.
Bounce Rate Tip #8 Recommended For You
Last but not the least show readers other recommendations they might enjoy. It is an effective strategy to show related posts with thumbnails at the end of an article. You can do this with a Facebook Plugin showing posts recommended for you. The recommendation box will display other related topics.
Follow these above 8 tips and see the results. What have you noticed about bounce rates? Feel free to share your views about this post.

8 Sure Shot Ways To Lower Down Sites Loading Time
WordPress really is one of the best tools around for making a fantastic website, and we've spent the past few months tailoring our platform to optimize the performance of WordPress sites.
We've also spent some time identifying which settings will make your WordPress site perform as fast as possible, and we wanted to take a moment to share our learnings with you. Based on our experience and testing, we've put together the following 8 tips to lower down sites loading time:
1) Install W3 Total Cache
Installing a caching plugin is probably the best way to noticeably speed up your WordPress site. In our testing, we've found that it can reduce your page load times from seconds to milliseconds! (Your own experience may vary, of course.)
2) Switch To Latest Version Of PHP
We've recently rolled out a much newer version of PHP, v5.3, which includes some improvements that make WordPress (and other PHP applications) perform much better. Switching to PHP 5.3 is as simple as pushing a button.
3) Make Sure You're Running The Latest Version Of WordPress
Keeping your WordPress installation up to date is one of the simplest ways to ensure your WordPress site is running at peak performance. (You'll also take advantage of the security patches that come with each upgrade and prevent hackers from exploiting the vulnerabilities of older versions.)
WordPress makes it very easy to upgrade -- you should be able to do so right from the WordPress dashboard. If not, you may be able to use Simple Scripts to help you upgrade to the latest version.
4) Minimize Http Request
Usually the maximum time is take by http requests so to lower down the time use less amount of scripts that include saccling up of any files from the server.
Images are another factor that increases the site load time use images of smaller sizes and try to reduce the quantity of images on a page. The preferred image formats that you should use are JPG, GPEG, GIF ( for animation ).
6) Opt For Cloud Services
Try to include different cloud services for your need like registration form, any special type of integration like power point presentations, video integration as these cloud services have better servers and it will reduce the load on your own server.
7) Use Zip Compressor
Zip compressor is the most common compressor which reduces the size of file by 70%. Before you upload any file for the download purpose include that file in the zip which will reduce down the website loading time for initiating any download.
8) Use CDN
CDN ( Content delivery network ) is a set of networks distributed all over the world and contains the files of your website. When the user opens your website a CDN will prompt the server that is nearest to the user and the user will get the files from the nearest CDN server. This will reduce the processing time for any file and reduce the time for the transferring any file.

5 Step Process Of Developing Impressive Content Strategy For An Unknown Business Niche!
SEO companies and content writers generally come across a common problem of developing a content strategy for a unfamiliar field. For instance, if a client who deals in health supplements comes to an SEO company that does not have any experience of health supplements, it is difficult for the company to develop a strategy for its promotion through content development and link services.
However there is plethora of information available on the web, it is still tough to come up with the best content developing strategy. These five steps will help you in developing content strategy for businesses unfamiliar to you.
Educate Yourself About The Product And The Company
Ask for information from the client or search on the Internet but make sure that you have in depth knowledge of the product and the company alike. It becomes easier when you target the right kind of questions. For instance, it would be of little use to ask whether the company owner uses the health supplement herself or asking how much money the company makes on the sale of one packet of X protein. Rather go for questions like what is the unique value proposition of the company.
Study The Niche Market
You cannot do much if you do not know about the trends in ‘health supplements’. Do not study just the client; equally essential is to know the competitor in and out. Study their promotional campaigns, links, content, blog, and everything that you can. Now, try to draw inferences from it. It helps to know what is working for them and if there is any loophole then you can utilize that for betterment of your product. It will also pour light on the key phrases that are popular.
Study Your Readers And Target Groups
You cannot do much if you do not know about the trends in ‘health supplements’. Do not study just the client; equally essential is to know the competitor in and out. Study their promotional campaigns, links, content, blog, and everything that you can. Now, try to draw inferences from it. It helps to know what is working for them and if there is any loophole then you can utilize that for betterment of your product. It will also pour light on the key phrases that are popular.
Study Your Readers And Target Groups
Analyze the product and the target group. Then try to find out what best appeals to them and what they solutions they are seeking. For instance if the health supplement company offers muscle building supplements then you should target gym rats who are dedicated to muscle building. This is very essential step as you decide what is going to attract the target group to the maximum potential.
Develop Quality Content
Now that you have identified your readers, the subject that will appeal to them, and all facts about the market and the company, strive hard to produce the best content. Try to make it informative and helpful to the readers and they will be attracted to you.
Analyze The Results And Take Relevant Actions
Analyze the results and the changes in them with every action that you take. Improve your strategy and fine tune your promotional campaign with every little lesson that you learn every day. Modify it unless you have reached you goal. You can then increase the visibility of the page by linking it with some good websites like Pr3pluslinks.com or the StPaulMarketingTeam.com.
There are many companies which offer content development for any business you name, but there are only few who can give excellent results in every field. It is essential to know everything before devising a final draft for content strategy for an unknown field.

How Can You Condense Time Frames & Maximize Blogging Success?
Are You Looking For Great Ideas To Blog About While Squeezing The Most Out Of Your Time?
Do you have a blog action plan? Having your own action plan plays a crucial role in the overall success of your online blog. In this article we will discuss some basic steps to make your blog more successful in terms of attracting visitors or other goals you may have. Successful bloggers always know exactly what they will do to get what they want (even if they don’t always spell things right). Unlike the bloggers who blog randomly and pray for success, they follow their own action plan.
What Do Top Bloggers Do?
There are no hidden secrets; they create a plan to succeed. They don't just try their first time and succeed. It is through experience and practice; they train just like top athletes. They list the tasks to be done, outline the strategies, and propose the tactics to achieve their goals. Below are three steps that will help you stay organized and focused as you build your blog plan.
How to Plan Your Blog Writing
Blogging Step #1 - Evaluate Your Writing Progress And Goals
Goals-Do you have blogging objectives and goals set for blogging?
If you want to reach your goals, you have to stay focused on them. The purpose behind creating a blog can vary. Are you trying to attract more traffic and subscribers? Are you trying to generate money through online marketing strategies? Are you just sharing your expertise with other people? It is important for you to evaluate your blog and blog related posts to determine if your are achieving your purpose. Your readers will continue to follow you once they understand you are traveling down the same path with each posts towards your goals.
Audience-When you are writing your goals, keep your audience in mind.
Who is your audience? What would they like to know about your niche? What problem can you help solve for them? How do you meet the needs of your target market? What makes your business or blog special from your competition? What are they really passionate about? What would they be Goggling to find?
End Results-Know what you are aiming for.
You cannot measure your progress until you know the end result you are aiming for. Each goal should be quantified and have a date. Example of goals could be: number of posts per week, number of page views, number of subscribers, number of unique visitors, Google page rank, etc. So it will look something like this: I will post 2 articles every week, with a total of 48 posts every 6 months. I will contact at least 10 blogs in my niche where I can submit guest posts. I will raise my blog’s page ranking from 1 million to 100,000 by next December 1st.
Blogging Step #2 - Create An Effective Action Plan
Do you want to increase your blog traffic?
Then you need to know how to attract it and have a plan. If you don’t have a plan, you won’t know the odds and it will take longer to reach no matter what your goals are. If you get in the increasing traffic game and treat it like it is a sport you are competing in, it will start to happen. On the other hand, if you have no plan or goal, there will be no increase in traffic.
What is your action plan for your blog?
As soon as you have listed your aims and objectives, start prioritizing by listing tasks and set timelines in order to achieve them. You can set different priories for different tasks; it all depends upon how you set your goals and objectives. Knowing the "why" of what you are trying to accomplish speeds up your results. When you know the "whys" you will know what order to put things in.
Have you checked out what your competitors are doing?
Check out competitor blogs in your niche. Make notes of what they are doing right and wrong. Don’t steal their words, but copy the way they organize things. Your competition can give you great ideas for your business and marketing it as well. When you are all done with analyzing the competition go back to your to-do list of what you can do to make your blog stand out above theirs.
Questions To Consider As You Plan:
• How many hours can you commit to work on your blog every week? • How often are you going to write? • Will you be doing product reviews or writing tutorials? • Will you be answering customers frequently asked questions? • Are you going to have guest bloggers, a staff of other bloggers, or tackle it all yourself? • What topics will you write about? • What are the most pressing problems of your prospective clients? • When will you publish your new posts, daily, weekly? • Are you going to outsource some of your articles for backup? • Are you going to make some video blogs? • Are you going to have podcasts? • How many guest posts are you going to do? • How will you promote your articles? • How are you going to advertise yourself on social media sites? • How often will you comment on others blogs?
Make an action plan based on the priorities of tasks.
Blogging Step #3 - Do The Work: Execute
Are you concentrating on the "why" for each tasks?
Constantly review your "why" of each task. Do as many of the tasks as you can do each day. Some tasks have to be put off until later as they will require you to wait for time or money. Keep reviewing your lists and checking off items. By concentrating on the "why" more than on the task, it will seem effortless. Keep in mind what it will feel like when you accomplishing your tasks. How Much Should Video Marketing Cost?
Does Video Marketing Cost Cents or Dollars or Millions?
Are you looking to create great looking videos at affordable prices? What should you expect to find? Well, the cost of shooting, editing, and submitting a video isn’t just one size fits all pricing. Every marketing freelancer wishes they could simply quote a number, but the answer is x + y + z = $p (the price of an affordable yet effective video).
In order to answer this question of x + y + z = $p, you need to realize it is similar to asking, “How much does a house cost?” or “What is the price of a car?” You need more information like what kind of house? A house in the suburbs with a 3 car garage? A house in the Hamptons with 2 pools and a 10 car garage? What kind of car? How many doors? Well, you get the idea. In this article we will go over some of the variables that need to be considered in figuring out the cost of a marketing video.
Why A Misunderstood Bid Can Cost You More Money
If you are getting a video bid based on not exactly understanding what is being bid on; it can come in too low or too high. You don’t want to be overcharged or ripped off either. Pricing can have many variables; there is no set standard average. Let's go over the major four key variables just in the planning stage and then get back into pricing. It is best to have established goals in mind before you have someone create, produce, and work on just one video let alone an entire video marketing campaign.
4 Things To Consider In Planning A Marketing Video
1. Unique - Every video is going to be custom tailored and unique. Some are going to need voice over and graphics and then there are some that will not need any shooting at all.
2. Technical quality - Will you need animations? Is it just a slide show? How much editing is going to be needed? Will a video crew be needed or a simple Flip cam?
3. Time - How long will it take to shoot this? One day or ten? Maybe no shooting at all, using pictures instead? How much editing time will be required to put in the music, animations, and effects you desire etc.?
4. Length - The longer the video the more it will cost and the more time it will take to edit. Most web videos range from 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the purpose for the video. Can you get your message across more effectively with extra time or will the viewer become bored?
Click On The Video Below To Check Out The top 8 Benefits Of Video Marketing For Your Business:
Video Production: Converting The Idea (Videography):
Do You Already Have A Concept Or Will One Need To Be Developed For You?
If your concept is more expensive to produce than you thought, are you open to other concepts that can still achieve your goals within your budget? Do you have a clear vision from start to finish of what you want your video to be like? Do you want to convert prospect into raving fans?
What Exactly Needs To Be Shot Or Filmed?
This is an important question because it can help you quickly figured out major expenses such as what equipment or camera crews will be needed or maybe none at all. Are you shooting one video or a series? Multiple videos can be shot in one day and then edited later into many. Are you going to need a camera crew to come in and film you? Are you going to use film you shot yourself and just need to have it edited? The more footage that you have, the more there is to work with. The footage can only be as good as the footage you have captured, so film everything you can think of (skip the personal film of your family pet though). Is a script needed or is a director needed?
What If You Just Want To Use Pictures Or Live Far Away?
If you live far away where the St. Paul Marketing Team can't film you or don’t have the time to be filmed, you can still get your business message out without the cost prohibitive expense of a live shooting. For example, still images or stock video clips with added music can be used or a voice over narrative.
What About Content?
Plan for the end result! The goal is to get great comments and views to help it to go naturally viral by viewers that want to share your video. This should be due to its useful unique content. This is not an accident; planning a great script is well worth the time, effort and cost.
Cost For Production?
On average most companies will charge between $50 and $150 an hour for the people with will be needed to be involved in key production activities such as shooting, directing, editing and submitting. Having a director and rehearsing your lines is very cost effective. Film can only capture so much.
Live Video Shooting:
Do You Need To Shoot Your Video At Your Workplace?
Planning ahead for your shooting is very cost effective. How many days of shooting are needed and where will it be? How long will each scene be? How many people will be included in the shooting? Are you going to need to shoot scenes in more than one location? Are there any specific requirements or constraints of each location? Will it need to be shot inside or outside? How much time will this take - one hour, all day or more? Will bad weather increase your shooting time? Are all the people needed going to be available at one shooting time?
Costs For Live Video Shooting?
The cost has so many variables. Two days worth of shooting versus one hour will make a big difference. The average range of shooting can cost from $250 to $700 for a full day.
Video Post Production: Phase After Video Is Shot (Editing):
After your video is shot or you have gathered your pictures, the next step is putting it all together: editing. This is the phase where the videos story is put together to communicate the key messages. Will you need graphics or special effects? Will music be needed (Sorry, the Black Eyed Peas hold copyrights to the music you wanted)? What kind or none at all? How detailed do you want it to be? The average editing can take a minimum of 3 days. It should continue until you have it to where you feel satisfied with it. The more you put into the editing, the more you will get out of it. Boring footage can be amazing with great editing. Will you need animation?
Costs For Video Post Production (Editing)?
The average range of a editing is $60 - $200 an hour, but some Hollywood people will rip you off for twice that (send the money to your favorite charity instead). You can save money by looking for packages offered. If you need complex 3D graphics or key frame animation added, you can figure on a range of at least $125 to $350 an hour. The more detailed and animated the more it will be.
Video Search Optimization (VSEO): After Videos Are Done And Video Submissions:
Already have a video but need to get it more exposure? Once you have a video how are you planning on getting people to know it exists and to want to watch it? This is the submission phase where your video will be submitted to top online video sites. This includes optimizing the title, tags, and descriptions. This is the art of promoting it and submitting it out to social networks. The rules and sites are always changing. This can take up far more time than most professionals have time for (of course they will make time of you pay them more and more). The correct SEO needs to be incorporated into your video to get the search engines to pick it up so millions of people will watch it. If done right, they will increase your companies brand awareness and recognition.
Costs For Video Search Optimization?
Video coding and tagging can range from $60 to $150 or more per video. The best deals are usually found in packages offered.
So What Is The Average Cost Of A Marketing Video?
Wouldn’t it be great if there were a simple math formula that would state X minutes of video = Y dollars? Not all marketing videos are equal and each has a different purpose. If you want your videos to earn views, comments and shares you have to give viewers something worth their time. The key is to have the same video marketing company take you from your goals right through the finished product.
Is There A Way To Save Cost On Video Marketing?
• Shoot your own footage and then have it edited by adding graphics, transitions, animations etc.
• Have a reference video for comparison so you can see how much something like that would cost for the vision, message and purpose you prefer.
The best suggestion overall is to talk to dial 651-731-0764 for the St. Paul Marketing Team. Of course there are other reputable companies too, but we are the best - (all right just a little bragging rights here). We can help you define your goals no matter if you are planning just one video or a serious of videos to add to a video marketing campaign. This will help you save time, effort and costs on the variable expenditures, yet proudly finish with a quality video.
Question Back To You...
Is it better to try to save on all the variable costs of your video (trying to learn as you do it all yourself) or save time and effort going with experienced professionals that will produce a quality video that will go viral? Remember it is your brand that is at stake! Feel free to comment below about your experiences and share this if you find this was valuable.

5 Great SEO Tips That Will Rapidly Boost Your Ecommerce Sites
Are You Linked To The Internet World Such As Articles, Blogging, Etc.?
Then you are likely to have come across our dear friend “SEO”! Well, Search Engine Optimization is something, that pretty much everyone is going crazy about. Those who work in the corporate world, educational sector, social work sphere, or people who do blogging for fun only; all must battle with the search engine optimization!
What Is SEO Or Search Engine Optimization?
Well, I like to go by the literal translation of the term: Search Engine Optimization refers to strategies that are applied to optimize a web-page for search engines, so the search spiders would pick them up more often. When you optimize your website or a page with SEO techniques, you are actually increasing the likelihood of attracting the search spiders to crawl more often at your page. After all how can you sell anything off your website if customers can’t find you? The more traffic you get to your website the more chances are the customers will buy.
What Are The Top SEO Tips That Can Boost Your Website?
Well this article explores the top five SEO tips that may come handy for those, who are running an e-commerce website. However, others may also apply most of these tips (with a bit of modification wherever and, if, necessary). Now, without further ado, let’s talk about the top 5 tips for SEO work:
SEO Tip #1- Update Title Pages Dynamically
Using the right keyword in Title tag may bring a huge difference in the search engine rankings for your website or page. For instance, if your website has title tags that look something like this: Europe Marketing, Europe Website Designing, Europe SEO Consultation, and your website is not getting a good ranking, you need some alterations. You may change the tag sequence to something like this: Europe Marketing, Europe SEO Consultation. Try building a script, so you have the exact log of the hits that a particular keyword brings to your website.
SEO Tip #2- Make Use Of The Active Window
Most users would not pay much attention to the navigational section of your website. A lot of people desire to find their answers at the content section of your website or the active window of your web-page. So, try inserting links within the content. Avoid leaving links at the footer because, it gets least attention (if any at all). A user is more likely to click on a link that is within the content they are reading than the sidebar, header, or footer.
SEO Tip #3- Link Up The Products Page Directly From The Home Page
Are your product pages deep within your link structure? This is a common theme made by many ecommerce sites that are not ranking. It is more beneficial to place a link near your home page. The more distance you bring in between a web-page and the home-page, the least domain authority it will receive. Make sure that you practice ‘deep linking’ strategies, so your products page links directly to your website home page. You can also add related posts in your blog articles and link them with anchor text. Instead of saying “click here” use keywords in the article that will link to other posts you have. This will make it easier for customers to find your products and for search engines.
SEO Tip #4- Get User Reviews And Guarantees For Your E-Commerce Website
This is a hard task, however, once accomplished it can mean the difference in enhancing the reputation of your website. Content by users, such as, testimonials, product reviews, comments etc., matter a lot. Get genuine testimonials of satisfied customers. You can place a picture of them or a video to show that they are real people. It is more believable to have a video or pictures otherwise people may think you are making it up. Have you ever been to a website that says Jennifer M. from Minnesota likes this? Well who is this Jennifer? It sounds made up and not authentic.
SEO Tip #5- Make Sections And Link Them Up
Try making several sections or categories in your products page and then link them all together, somehow. This strategy is useful in passing Page Ranking to most of your web-pages.
By following the above mentioned 5 SEO tips, your website would surely increase on its ratings in the search engines.
Do you have other tips or ideas that will rapidly boost your ecommerce sites? Do you have any suggestions that worked for you? Leave a comment below and share them with other readers.

Email Marketing Tips: Interview With Amrik Virdi
E-mail Marketing – Why At All?
Although the issues that currently dominate social media and SEO: The good old e-mail newsletter is far from being exhausted. Here are some basic benefits:
• Correct transactions one makes rather than sending a newsletter with a tweet or a Facebook post.
• E-mail is personal, fast, and widely accessible.
• E-mail marketing is most effective for SEO as money makers in marketing (in terms of ROI).
When Should I Start If I Want To Build An E-mail Distribution List? How Can I Get New Subscribers?
Best Buy: Often it’s enough one-call in the order process to integrate its online stores in Opt. Even a newsletter checkbox in the contact can already generate new subscribers.
You should not wait 8 months with the first release. That would be too long of a time sequence and the subscriber will have forgotten that they ever subscribed to a newsletter. You can solve this problem with an autoresponder.
• Apply the newsletter to as many appropriate places on your site and list concrete benefits for the reader.
• Offer links to previous issues, so that the new subscriber will know what’s coming.
• Think about where you might apply for the newsletter subscription and offline.
• Provide a useful gift for new subscribers, such as an EBook, checklists or a small video course.
What Is An Autoresponder And How Can It Best Be Used?
With an autoresponder your emails will be sent in advance-scale in a specific sequence automatically. This can be a little three-part introductory course with useful information on a specific topic. Bloggers often use autoresponders to point to their best blog posts.
The particular advantage is that you have to put the autoresponder, the sender only once. Then you can directly start to build a customer relationship with the receiver – especially when one uses personalization variables sent.
How Do I Find A Suitable Newsletter Software Application?
Standard features include automatic subscribe and unsubscribe processes, list management with segmentation options, bounce management for returns, as well as a detailed reporting of openings and clicks.
Who has not a complete IT-development department in the back should share in any case to a provider that does not require that one uses its own e-mail server. So one must not even take care of complicated and expensive listings in the White ISPs (Internet service providers). White Listings minimize the risk of false spam-filtering.
Otherwise, it is advisable to opt for an e-mail application that comes with a template system that requires the newsletter creation and no special technical skills are required. It may be recurrent and layout to implement similar newsletter very quickly.
You can find some recommended hosted Newsletter tools for small and medium enterprises on Google.
What Is The Legal Side?
Am I allowed to take all my Email addresses from Outlook and export them? No way! Generally, one can doubt the need to prove that one recipient had the right to write. The proper way is a double opt in. Here, the recipient must first click the link to a confirmation Email to activate your subscription. The only way that you can legally is to be sure that the new subscriber was not registered by a third party without his knowledge.
Otherwise, you can also send its existing customers promotional E-mails, but there are four conditions for arising from § 7 para 3 of the UWG.
If you know that certain groups of recipients that could be particularly (competitors, former clients, etc.), it is also possible to set this from the outset on a blacklist.
How Do I Create An Attractive HTML Newsletter?
Generally, it is important to know that HTML newsletter works like HTML Site 12 years ago. Because e-mail clients like Outlook and Lotus Notes very restrictive with what they are actually are, one should completely renounce Flash content and video. The basic layout is intended to table structures, as Sheets (CSS) is very limited use can also style.
In addition, a width of 620px should not be exceeded – many email clients display in the preview window only small excerpts. The main message is so very far above the best placed.
Otherwise one should adhere strictly about what works well in the remaining Web:
• Headings and bulleted lists using
• Clear Call to Action formulate
• Use images sparingly in relation to the text portion
• Do you offer a mobile version or text-only version for mobile phones
• Avoid capital letters, red letters, or neon colors, if possible (risk of filtering)
What Is There About The Subject Line And Sender Names Considered?
Personalize the “To:” field with the first and last name of the recipient to reduce the likelihood of spam filtering. Also choose a meaningful Your e-mail address – email@example.com acts as not very customer oriented. Just as bad a sender name like “admin” or “service” is. Your company name will work probably better.
Together with the sender, the subject line decides whether the e-mail is ever opened. Unpack the core message to the beginning of subject, be sure that it is not too long, and make the text not too flashy.
How Can Social Media Be Integrated Into E-mail Marketing?
Generally, these routes are available:
• Facebook-Like Button: It allows the recipient to share the link to the newsletter with their Facebook friends.
• Share options for social bookmarking services such as Mr Wong, Delicious etc.
• ‘Tweet This’ Button: How can the tweeted link to the newsletter.
• Integration in the registration process: A person who signs up for the newsletter is now, often because the company is interested to follow the social web.
What Success Metrics Are Most Important?
CTR: very relevant, since the click rate on the one hand can be measured correctly and fairly, on the other the greatest possible interest in the contents represents (apart from an actual conversion
Opening rate: Also important to compare different editions to, newsletters. The problem is that the opening rate is determined by downloading a web beacons. Who the pictures are not in his e-mail downloads will not count.
Otherwise, you should always look at the opt-out rate are. A cancellation is rarely a bad reaction to the newsletter alone, but rather a series less interesting releases in a row. A feedback field in the withdrawal form can help you determine why someone has logged off.
The Best Tool Tips About Email Marketing?
I have been using Aweber (in English) to send emails – a really great tool.

4 Vital Ways To Improve Your Search Engine Rankings
Why Do You Need To Improve Your Search Engine Rankings?
The Internet has apparently become the biggest database of all. Now data whether it is articles, songs, and movies are being added to the digital database at an extremely faster rate. It is tough to compete in the indexing and ranking of this digital information. As we all know people won’t look further than first two pages for a particular keyword, so it’s only plausible to improve your search engine ranking.
What Are The 4 Ways To Improve Your Search Engine Rankings?
We have taken the liberty to outline 4 methods to boost up your search engine rankings. Just follow our lead one by one as we take you through a recipe for success. By following our lead you can achieve measurable results and considerable success.
The search engines operate on a principle that is same to the advertising based model. Produce great content for the audience and sell that demographic to the advertising website. By clicking the “submit URL link” you can submit links to multiple search engines and social bookmarking sites. It is a very simple process and time consuming too. To do that easily you have the availability of websites that would do the exact same task for you for instance digg.com and stumbleupon.com. Some of these websites are providing this service for free while others are charging a fee for it. Some reaps the advertising revenue. But you are only concerned with advertising on the top ten search engines. The others are not your concern.
2. Paid Submission Services
The smaller companies may be hesitant to use the paid submission services but it will only work in their favor. It is important to be aware of the current trends prevailing in the market and updating your search engine requirements according to it. The consumers remain happy with the results obtained and so do you. It gives the company a competitive edge over their counterparts. With paid submission, you can get your page indexed more quickly. This method is effective and fast. Everything comes at a price is the moral here.
3. The Spider’s Intricate Web
What are spiders? These are search engine programs that crawl all through the worldwide web and document data. Spider will record particular specific words and determine its page rank and index it. It’s a complicated procedure. For example if one word is used five times in a website, whereas it is used eleven times on another website then the second website will have a higher page rank. Spider is a very complex program and does thorough and extensive work. Some expert tricksters use keywords extensively on the white background to increase page rank. Spiders do take it in consideration. But you can get banned if caught. Even the images can be named as keywords to increase page rank.
4. The Meta Tags And Its Role
There are two kinds of Meta tags.
- Meta description tags
- Meta keyword tags
It’s a small teaser to the website given below the title. But making tags appealing and attractive is a thing of the past.
In the late 1990’s, spiders used titles given at the front page to gain insight to the website. It can be any website. That isn’t the case any more. Website owners used Meta tags misleadingly so they decreased in popularity with passage of time and no longer play a vital role in ranking and indexing. Now backlinks have acquired more importance. Google no longer uses Meta tags for indexing.

Google Places Got Ditched!
Have You Heard The Buzz About "Google+ Local"?
Google rolled out another update to its local platform, ditching "Google Places" and replacing it with "Google+ Local". It’s a very powerful move combining social, google maps, and local search. The new local listing tabs for local businesses can be found underneath the "Circles button" in the social site of Google+. Click on the icon that says, “Local” to view more.
Why Did They Replace It And Change It?
Why did they integrated it into the Google+ social site? Why couldn’t they just leave Google Places alone instead of changing it? Is this Google's way finding another reason to extend our time on Google+? Are they flaunting their strengths by integrating our online and offline activities? Changes aren't always welcome and we need to know all the "whys" to accept change!
• Extends Your Google Time - If everyone is to rate and give reviews on businesses, it would make it another reason to stay in Google+ and hang out.
• Facebook competition - This feature will one-up them over Facebook.
• Integration - While Google Plus doesn’t directly compete with Facebook for personal users, its main focus is instead on business integration.
• Improves Ratings - "Google+ Local" is making it easier to both share and see opinions and reviews with your circle of friends.
"Google+ Local" features Zagat scores and recommendations from your friends in your circles on Google+. After you click on the icon, you can put things in the search bar above. You can browse things in your area or look for something specific. When you find something that strikes your fancy, click on that listing, for example: a Chinese restaurant. It will take you to their Google+ page that features photos, directions, address, summaries, reviews, hours and more.
What Are The New Features?
• Reviews From Your Friends - It will feature reviews and recommendations from friends in your circles in the search results. When you are searching for a Chinese restaurant, it might include one of your friends’ reviews nearby. The opinions of friends in your circles are now there when they review a business place. This is great way to tell your friends that you loved the food, but hated the services, or that the sesame chicken was out of this world. It is also great if you had a bad experience too, like if the food was bad, overpriced, or gave you food poisoning, etc. Your photos and reviews will help others find great places. You can help out your friends too by reviewing places. So when your friends are checking out a place they can see what you have to say.
• New Rating System - The 5 star review is now gone. Google bought out Zagat last September for $151 million and is now putting it into use. It is a 30-point scoring system that Zagat developed. Restaurants for example, will be scored in three areas; food, décor, and service. This makes the reviews more specific than stars. After all what does 2 stars really mean? It could have been great food, but bad service. This could save you frustration and have you decide to get take out instead of going inside if it was more specific. If your business is not a restaurant, but is a local business, it will have different options to pick from when they review it. How will this review be seen? Time will tell, as there is no information on the reviews of other types of businesses yet.
Still Confused On How It Will Work?
Check out this video that Google made and see how this will fit all together:
What Happens To Your Old Reviews?
Your old reviews from "Google Places" will be transitioned over the "Google+ Local" page. They will show up anonymously as “A Google User”. This is all new to everyone so names won’t be specific just yet. On both your reviews and competitors, there won't be a lot of specific names just yet. It will show up with a name only if the person validates their review and publishes it.
Whether your business in on Google+ or not, people are going to talk about it. Jump on board and start to engage with your customers. Take advantage of all the other features, circles, hangout, SEO benefits, etc. The next trend could be them combining the Google+ business page with your local page.
Now, It’s Your Turn…
Have you noticed anything thing else that wasn’t said about the new "Google+ Local" page? Do you think the new ratings will have any influence on Google rankings? Do you think Google will merge your Google+ business page with your local page in the future?
